Pro-life advocates celebrated another election victory Tuesday in Alabama after pro-life candidate Tommy Tuberville has defeated pro-abortion U.S. Sen. Doug Jones.
With 27% in, Tuberville has a big lead of 59-41% and a 120,000 vote advantage.
Tuberville, a former football coach, won with the support of pro-life advocates and President Trump.
He stands in stark contrast to Senator Doug Jones, who has proven himself to be an abortion extremist,” SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser said.
Tuberville would be a much-needed voice for life in the U.S. Senate.
In contrast, Jones, a Democrat who currently serves in the seat, has a strong pro-abortion voting record. In 2019, he voted against the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, which would have permanently prohibited taxpayer-funded abortions in federal spending.

Then, in February, when asked about his stance on late-term abortions on pain-capable unborn babies, Jones laughed and called the issue “stupid.”
“Jones approaches the life issue with flippancy and carelessness. We need a strong leader in the Senate to represent the pro-life people of Alabama, not Doug Jones,” Dannenfelser said. “This election is a matter of life and death, and we are dedicated to defeating extremists like Doug Jones who have caved to Pelosi Democrats and the abortion lobby.”
She said Tuberville, like most Americans, supports common-sense limits on abortion.
