A new interview with Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson confirms that there is no pro-life case for supporting Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Speaking with Vogue last week, Johnson made it clear that Biden and vice presidential running mate Kamala Harris support the abortion industry’s efforts to expand abortions by ending the Hyde Amendment.
With a likely strong conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court and states passing a record number of pro-life laws, dropping abortion rates and expanding pregnancy/parenting resources, it’s clear that the abortion industry is panicking.
Planned Parenthood, a billion-dollar abortion chain that aborts more than 345,000 unborn babies every year, plans to spend at least $45 million to support Biden and other pro-abortion candidates this fall.
Vogue, which has a strong pro-abortion bias, asked Johnson how she is getting by with so much at stake.

“Honestly, I have to think about that [laughs],” she responded. “… a Biden/Harris victory could really help move an agenda that could improve people’s lives. That sustains me, for sure; everything is really crazy-making, but if you can keep your eye on the prize of what real freedom looks like and imagine a world where you have the right to self-determination and control over your body, that helps.”
Actually, her agenda includes destroying people’s lives. Planned Parenthood wants to expand abortions by forcing taxpayers to pay for them, and Biden and Harris agree. If elected, they promised to end the Hyde Amendment, a long-standing measure that prohibits taxpayer funding for elective abortions in Medicaid and other federal programs.
The amendment has saved about 2.4 million unborn babies from abortions, according to the Charlotte Lozier Institute. If ended, about 60,000 more unborn babies could be unnecessarily aborted every year.
Popular with most Americans, the Hyde Amendment once had strong bipartisan support. Up until last year, even Biden supported it. However, he flip-flopped on the issue when the abortion industry made taxpayer-funded abortions one of its top priorities.
Johnson named the Hyde Amendment when Vogue asked what she believes “are some of the greatest reproductive-care barriers” to abortion.
“Well, the Hyde Amendment, which is a provision that bars the use of federal funds for paying for abortion, disproportionately impacts women of color,” she said. “Roe is … the floor—as I like to say, it’s the floor, not the ceiling, because for a lot of people, abortion access is already a right in name only—so I think that’s really important to consider.”
An end to the Hyde Amendment would mean more abortions and more business for Planned Parenthood. Biden and Harris share this goal, not only promising to force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions but also to restore the funding cuts that President Donald Trump made to Planned Parenthood through other programs.
Planned Parenthood supports Biden because he supports the abortion industry’s efforts to expand abortions. Gone are the old days of Democrats talking about wanting abortions to be “rare.” Now, they openly support expanding the killing of unborn babies in abortions and forcing taxpayers to fund their deaths.
