Pro-abortion actress Jane Fonda described COVID-19 as “God’s gift to the Left” in a newly surfaced video.

The Washington Free Beacon reported about Fonda’s disturbing comments this week as she campaigns for Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden. Fonda has been active in the pro-abortion movement since 2004. She has spoken at Planned Parenthood events and fundraisers, and once, she even wore jewelry to promote the billion-dollar abortion chain on national TV.

“I just think that COVID is God’s gift to the Left,” Fonda said in the video, giving a little chuckle.

“That’s a terrible thing to say. I think it was a very difficult thing to send down to us, but it has ripped the band-aid off who [President Donald Trump] is and what he stands for and what is being done to average people and working people in this country,” she continued.

Because of the pandemic, Fonda said she believes people are beginning to realize how terrible Trump is.

“We can see it now,” she said, “… and we have a chance to harness that anger and make a difference. So, I feel so blessed to be alive right now.”

Here’s more from the report:

She described the coronavirus pandemic as an “existential crossroads” for humanity to address issues like climate change.

“What a great gift, what a tremendous opportunity, we are so lucky, we have to use it with every ounce of intelligence and courage and wherewithal we have,” she added.

To Fonda, Trump’s terrible actions include protecting unborn babies from abortions by defunding the billion-dollar abortion industry.

In 2018, she slammed Trump for defunding Planned Parenthood through his Protect Life rule for Title X grants. Fonda told her Twitter followers: “Donald Trump just announced a gag rule that would prohibit doctors from referring patients for abortion and block patients from care at PP. He has no right to make decisions about your body.”

Trump’s rule requires Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers to completely separate their abortion businesses from their taxpayer-funded services to receive Title X family planning grants. The rule does not require doctors or nurses to withhold information. It merely prevents Planned Parenthood, which did more than 345,000 abortions last year, from promoting the killing of unborn babies with taxpayer funds.
