National Right to Life, the nation’s largest pro-life group with affiliates in all 50 states and over 3,000 local chapters nationwide, urges Kansans concerned about the rights of our society’s most vulnerable to send Dr. Roger Marshall to the U.S. Senate.
“In his practice as an OB-GYN and while serving in the U.S. House, Dr. Roger Marshall has proven he is an unwavering champion for the right to life,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “His opponent, state Senator Barbara Bollier, supports abortion any time, anywhere, and for any reason. She is out of step with Kansas values.”
In Congress, Dr. Marshall:
- co-sponsored and voted for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This legislation would protect unborn children at 20 weeks, a point by which the unborn child is capable of experiencing great pain when she is killed by dismemberment or other late abortion methods.
- co-sponsored and voted for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This Act would require that a baby born alive during an abortion be afforded the same degree of care that would apply to any other child delivered at the same gestational age.
- voted against using taxpayer dollars to pay for abortion, and he opposes taxpayer funding of abortion providers.
By contrast, state Senator Barbara Bollier earned a reputation in Kansas as one of the abortion industry’s most extreme defenders. Sen. Bollier led the charge for late abortions by railing against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which protects unborn children at 20 weeks, a point by which they are capable of feeling intense pain. She also opposed legislation to protect Kansas taxpayers from funding abortion.
Senate Democrats make no secret of their pro-abortion agenda, and they are just a few seats from reclaiming the majority. The election of Sen. Bollier would move them one step closer to their goals of abortion without limits, taxpayer funding of abortion, and stacking the courts with judges that are hostile to pro-life laws.
Kansas deserves a pro-life senator who will stand up for them and their values. If elected to the U.S. Senate, Bollier would be an advocate for the abortion industry, not the people of Kansas.
“Dr. Roger Marshall is committed to strengthening a culture of life throughout the nation and in the U.S. Senate,” said Tobias. “We look forward to working with Dr. Marshall to protect the most vulnerable members of the human family.”
