President Trump is “The Most Pro-Life President Since Roe Was Handed Down in 1973”

There is so much going on today I’m offering five quotes and brief commentaries about them as we look ahead to the November 3 General Election which is just 48 days away. Before I forget, something I don’t mention is the willingness of President Trump to be questioned by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, a Democratic hack, last night. Supposedly it was to be about the President responding to questions from undecided voters. It was mostly Stephanopoulos carrying gallons of water for Joe Biden.

President Trump is fearless.

“The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-six percent (46%) disapprove”

“The Trump campaign is touting its anti-abortion agenda. Here’s what’s at stake”—USA Today

“Joe Biden is Running an Invisible Digital Campaign in All-Important Michigan. That’s Making Some Democrats Nervous”—Charlotte Alter

“Among all voters, those who reported attending services at least weekly favored Trump by a margin of 58% to 36%; the margin was similar among those who said they attended once or twice a month (60% to 38%). Those who reported attending services a few times a year or seldom were divided; 51% supported Clinton and 42% supported Trump. Among the nearly one-quarter of voters (23%) who said they never attend religious services, Clinton led Trump by 61% to 3o%.”—Pew Research Center: “An examination of the 2016 electorate, based on validated voters

WaPo/ABC poll: Biden up in MN by … sixteen?—Ed Morrissey

SIGN THE PLEDGE: I’m Voting for President Donald Trump!

*Let’s consider the first and last items together. President Trump’s approval numbers continue in the +50% range. After being under media siege for four years, that is quite an accomplishment.

Only the Washington Post/ABC News could concoct a poll that has pro-abortion Joe Biden ahead of President Trump by 16 points in Minnesota! It’s absurd on its face and (speaking of faces) flies in the face of recent survey by Morning Consult which has Biden up by 4 points, within the margin of error. This bogus poll is outrageous.

*USA Today’s Shefali Luthra  tells us that President Trump is “touting” his pro-life (“anti-abortion” to USA Today) agenda. Obvious question. Why would he not? As a critic rightly noted

“It’s been a very holistic attack,” said Katherine Kraschel, a lecturer at Yale Law School and expert on reproductive health policy.

And it is, as we have documented time after time. Everything from Constitution-respecting nominees to the Supreme Court through demanding that Planned Parenthood not counsel or advocate for abortion if it wants Title X money, to speaking at the March for Life, to backing the FDA requirement, for safety reasons, that a woman have an in-person doctor’s visit before undergoing a chemical abortion during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is the most pro-life President since Roe was handed down in 1973, hands down.

*Writing for TIME magazine, Charlotte Alter reports on a source of enormous worry to Democrats (and not just “some Democrats”). The story begins with an elderly gentleman who is determined to vote for Joe Biden but who is concerned about the campaign in Michigan:

“I can’t even find a sign,” Sabbe says outside a Kroger’s in Sterling Heights, where surrounding cars fly massive Donald Trump flags that say “No More Bullsh-t” and fellow shoppers wear Trump T-shirts for their weekend grocery runs. “I’m looking for one of those storefronts. I’m looking for a campaign office for Biden. And I’m not finding one.”

The reason Sabbe can’t find a dedicated Biden campaign field office is because there aren’t any around here.

In one of the great lines I have ever read Luthra writes

When I ask Biden campaign staffers and Democratic Party officials how many people they have on the ground in Michigan, one reply stuck out: “What do you mean by ‘on the ground?’”

Later she adds

In short, in one of the most important swing states in the country, Biden’s campaign is all but invisible to the naked eye.

But, not to worry, the Biden campaign assures her:

It has just replaced the trappings of a traditional ground game—volunteers knocking on doors, distributing literature, and so forth—with a digital field operation.

Boy, when Biden loses several Midwest states because he said phooey to grassroots organization, will the recriminations flow.

Finally, and something we will touch on again and again…

President Trump’s advantage among church goers—not people who merely say they are of certain faith but who actually attend church—was absolutely pivotal in his 2016 victory. As Pew Research found, “Among all voters, those who reported attending services at least weekly favored Trump by a margin of 58% to 36%; the margin was similar among those who said they attended once or twice a month (60% to 38%).”
