A California school district approved a disturbing new sex education program last week that tells students as young as 12 where they can go to abort their unborn babies without their parents’ permission.

Breitbart reports almost 80 parents and community members spoke out against the new “Teen Talk” curriculum Sept. 8 at a Santa Barbara Unified School District meeting. They included Kathy Ireland, a former supermodel who is pro-life.

“Teen Talk violates Christian, Jewish and Muslim faith,” Ireland told school leaders. “It violates science. It oversexualizes our children, and it violates our precious children and it does not deal with the aftermath.”

According to the report, the middle school curriculum teaches students ages 12 to 14 about masturbation, birth control including “condom demonstrations,” and gender issues; it also tells students where they can go to get contraception and abortions without their parents knowing about it.

Health Connected, which developed the lessons, supports the Planned Parenthood abortion chain on its website, the report states. It also tells students that they “do NOT need a parent’s permission” and they “do NOT need to be 18” to get “services” like birth control and abortions at these facilities.

Local news site Noozhawk reports the school board approved the curriculum in a 5-0 vote despite the strong public opposition to it. Families may opt out of the lessons.

Here’s more from the local news:

Some parents raised questions about the program, which includes talk of condoms, anal sex and masturbation. The curriculum also provides information on gender roles, relationships and sexuality; provides information about where to obtain reproductive health care; encourages parent and trusted-adult communication; incorporates multiday parent/trusted-adult interview homework assignment for students; and gender inclusive language.

The district is working to comply with AB 329, the California Healthy Youth Act, which was passed in 2016. The program is intended to provide “education regarding human development and sexuality, including education on pregnancy, contraception and sexually transmitted infections,” including HIV.

Former abortion workers and sex education instructors have said the abortion industry use sex education programs to push money-making abortions on vulnerable young people.

Planned Parenthood boasts of being “the single largest provider of sex education in the United States.” It also aborts more unborn babies than any other group in the U.S. and reaps in billion-dollar revenues each year. Troubling for many Americans, its annual budget includes about half a billion tax dollars.

Among its worst teaching points, Planned Parenthood tells children that promiscuity is ok. “There’s nothing bad or unhealthy about having a big number of sexual partners,” it tells students on its Tumbler page. Planned Parenthood’s booklet for HIV-positive youth, “Healthy, Happy and Hot,” tells young people that it is their “human right” to not tell their sexual partner that they have HIV.

Numerous communities have rejected Planned Parenthood as a sex education teacher. The whole Massachusetts legislature rejected a bill in 2017 that recommended Planned Parenthood’s middle school sex education curriculum. The program teaches children as young as 12 “how to perform oral and anal sex.”

Concerned parents in Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Washington state, New York, North Carolina and other parts of the country also have protested Planned Parenthood’s involvement in their students’ education in the past several years.

In one recent case, parents at a Pennsylvania school said a Planned Parenthood partner group taught seventh-grade students graphic details about oral sex during a science class.
