Woman Who Survived Abortion Endorses Trump: “He’s Accomplished So Much” for Unborn Babies

Pro-life leader Melissa Ohden praised President Donald Trump for being a champion for life during his first four years in the White House.

In a column at Caffeinated Thoughts, Ohden, who survived an abortion in her mother’s womb, endorsed the Republican president, contrasting his pro-life actions to Joe Biden’s radical pro-abortion proposals.

“[Trump] has been the most fearless defender of life in our nation’s proud history,” she wrote. “Since his first day in office, President Trump has taken historic action to protect the sanctity of every American life.”

She highlighted how Trump reinstated and expanded the Mexico City policy to prohibit American tax dollars from funding the killing of unborn babies across the world. The move defunded two major abortion chains, the International Planned Parenthood Federation and Marie Stopes International, of approximately $173 million.

Ohden praised the Republican president for making it a priority to speak up for babies’ lives at the March for Life and other venues.

“Under the Trump administration, the voices of pro-life Americans are no longer silenced and secluded; they are amplified and respected. Pro-life Americans stand on the side of justice and President Trump stands proudly alongside them,” she said.

In contrast, she said Biden, the presumed Democrat presidential nominee, would usher in policies that destroy lives.

“Joe Biden is no leader. He’s just a pawn of the radical left who is willing to do anything to get elected,” Ohden wrote.

For example, she said Biden used to support limits on taxpayer-funded abortions. Now, he does not.

“Biden folded to the radical left and embraced the extreme pro-abortion fringe, announcing his support for compelling American taxpayers to subsidize unrestricted, unlimited abortions,” Ohden wrote.

Though most Americans still oppose taxpayer-funded abortions, she said Biden caved to “the vocal minority” and sacrificed the lives of unborn babies for his political ambitions. The Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer-funded abortions, saves approximately 60,000 unborn babies from abortions each year.

“That’s not leadership; that’s cowardice. Being a strong leader means standing on principles even when it’s difficult,” she continued.

Ohden said Trump has been that strong leader, and that is why she is supporting him in November.

“President Trump and his administration have accomplished so much already, but there’s still important work left to do,” she said.

Nearly 1 million unborn babies are aborted every year in America. And though abortion numbers have been dropping steadily over the past decade, the number of babies killed in their mothers wombs each year is still heart-wrenchingly high. Bills like the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, both of which Trump supports, could save thousands of babies lives each year if Democrats stop blocking them and allowed them to reach the president’s desk. These common-sense protections could become law within the next few years if voters elect pro-life leaders to Congress and the White House.
