A pro-life banner declaring that “Unborn Black Lives Matter” is being flown over the Democratic National Convention this week to expose the party’s hypocrisy on abortion.

Sponsored by the pro-life organization Created Equal, the banner shows the image of a 15-week aborted baby and the phrase “Unborn Black Lives Matter.” It is being displayed in the skies over Milwaukee, Wisconsin during the convention, which runs Monday to Thursday.

“Our purpose is to expose the blatant hypocrisy of Black Lives Matter and the Democratic Party, which both say they care about Black lives,” the organization said in a statement.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel noticed one of the banners Monday morning in the sky over the city; it read “Vote Anti-Abortion” next to the image of an unborn baby.

According to the report, the convention this year is primarily virtual, but some activists have traveled to the city to protest for their causes, pro-lifers among them. The newspaper reported the convention expects fewer protesters than usual this year because of the coronavirus.

Though Democrat leaders claim they believe that Black lives matter, they support the number one killer of Black lives in America: abortion. The party platform supports abortion without restrictions and calls for forcing taxpayers to pay for it.

“We want to demonstrate that the BLM Foundation and the Democratic Party don’t care about hundreds of thousands of black lives: namely, all the unborn Black babies that Planned Parenthood and other abortionists kill every year,” Created Equal said in a statement.

Since abortion became legal nation-wide in 1973, an estimated 20 million unborn black babies have been aborted in America. In New York City, city health data indicates that more African American babies are aborted in the city than are born each year, and research indicates that many Planned Parenthood abortion facilities are located in or near minority neighborhoods.

While abortions hurt families of every race and culture, they disproportionately harm the African American community. According to census and abortion data, African Americans make up 13 percent of the U.S. population but have almost 40 percent of all abortions.

“Black Lives Matter doesn’t care about all black lives,” said Mark Harrington, president of Created Equal. “Pro-abortion activists at Black Lives Matter along with those at Planned Parenthood ignore hundreds of thousands of Black unborn babies that Planned Parenthood abortionists kill every year.”

The Democratic Party’s positions on abortion are radical and out of touch with most voters. It supports abortions without restriction and wants to force taxpayers to fund them. Polls consistently show strong public opposition to both, and Democrat voters are speaking out against the party’s abortion radicalism. Others are leaving the party. Meanwhile, party leaders are pushing out pro-life Democrat politicians like U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski, of Illinois, because they refuse to bow to the party’s abortion agenda.

Joe Biden, the presumed Democrat presidential candidate, supports the party platform and wants to “codify” Roe v. Wade into federal law so that states will be forced to continue allowing abortion on demand for years to come.
