Planned Parenthood knows it has a champion in Kamala Harris.
On Tuesday, Joe Biden announced Harris as his vice presidential running mate for the Democrat ticket. And while Biden is pro-abortion, Harris is even more aggressively so, having not only supported abortions up to birth and infanticide but also prosecuted undercover journalists who exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts trade.
Planned Parenthood quickly called the afternoon announcement “huge news” and praised Harris as a “steadfast champion” for abortion on demand.
“Throughout her entire career, Kamala Harris has been a steadfast champion for reproductive rights and health care,” Planned Parenthood wrote on Twitter. “Everything is on the line this election — and our members are going all in to elect her and Joe Biden to the highest offices in the land!”
“With Sen. Kamala Harris, we know which ticket won’t stop fighting for our [reproductive] health and rights. It’s time for real leadership,” the abortion chain continued.
Harris has a 100% pro-abortion voting record and has defended abortions up to birth. Last year, the California Democrat said she supports women making the decision whether to terminate the life of their unborn baby even if that abortion occurs just before birth.

Harris’ comments came just days after she voted with U.S. Senate Democrats to block an anti-infanticide bill that would require medical care for babies who survive abortions.
“I think it’s up to a woman to make that decision, and I will always stand by that,” she told TheDCNF. “I think she needs to make that decision with her doctor, with her priest, with her spouse. I would leave that decision up to them.”
Harris also co-sponsored a radical pro-abortion bill that would have legalized abortions for basically any reason up to birth. Nicknamed the “Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act” by pro-life groups, the bill would have invalidated nearly all state and federal abortion regulations, including waiting periods, informed consent requirements, bans on late-term abortions and sex-selection abortions and more.
She also was fact checked repeatedly for lying about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The false statements even earned her four Pinocchios from the pro-abortion Washington Post.
Her past actions also raise serious concerns about religious liberty and freedom of the press. She recently came under fire for discriminating against a judicial nominee simply because he is a member of a Catholic fraternal organization.
Notorious in pro-life circles, Harris became well-known after she raided the home of undercover journalist David Daleiden, who exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts trade. Harris was the attorney general of California at the time, and the state’s prosecution of Daleiden is on-going. If convicted, he could be sent to jail – even though his investigation led to the shutdown of two companies that sold aborted baby body parts.
Harris’s prosecution of the undercover journalists, while accepting campaign donations and other support from Planned Parenthood, was met with harsh criticism. Even the pro-abortion Los Angeles Times editorial board criticized her office for prosecuting journalists in a way that jeopardizes the freedom of the press, calling it a “disturbing overreach.”
Her ties to Planned Parenthood go even deeper. For years, Harris employed former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richard’s daughter on her staff.
Planned Parenthood wants Harris to win. She and Biden are the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in American history. They support the killing of unborn babies in abortions for any reason without limits and want to force taxpayers to pay for it. They also support giving hundreds of millions of tax dollars to Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in America. If elected, their policies could lead to tens of thousands more unborn babies being slaughtered in abortions each year – and billions more dollars in the pockets of the abortion industry.
