Vice President Mike Pence highlighted President Donald Trump’s accomplishments as the “most pro-life president in American history” on Wednesday in Florida.

Speaking at a rally on the “Life Wins” tour with the Susan B. Anthony List, Pence promised that he and the president will always stand up for the rights of unborn babies, according to Christian Headlines.

“From the first day he took office, President Trump has been standing without apology for the sanctity of human life,” Pence said.

One of Trump’s first actions as president was to restore the Mexico City policy, “making sure no taxpayer dollars would ever go to promote or provide abortion around the world,” the vice president said. Trump later expanded the policy. The Trump administration also has been a strong opponent of abortion the United Nations.

Pence said Trump appointed 200 conservative judges to the federal courts, more than any other president in American history.

He also highlighted the president’s work for religious freedom on behalf of the Little Sisters of the Poor and other religious organizations, as well as pro-life doctors and nurses who face discrimination on the job.

Pence said Trump signed a law making it easier for states to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion chain, and was the first president to speak at the national March for Life in person.

He warned that Joe Biden and Democrat leaders would undue all the life-saving progress of the past four years.

“Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have literally abandoned their support for the Hyde Amendment and have pledged to use taxpayer dollars to fund abortion at home and abroad,” Pence said.

Democrats also promised to increase taxpayer funding to the billion-dollar abortion industry, he continued.

“And Joe Biden and the Democratic Party support late-term abortion. His party, in the Senate, actually blocked a bill that would protect children that were born after failed abortions. They blocked the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act,” he said.

“The choice could not be more clear,” Pence concluded. “And I want to make you a promise: This president, this vice president and this administration will always stand up for the freedom of speech of every American, and we will always stand for life. As the Bible admonishes us, we are to, and I quote, ‘speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.’ And so the people in this movement have done every day since that day 47 years ago.”

Just prior to the speech, the vice president and his daughter Charlotte visited A Woman’s Place, a pro-life pregnancy center that helps hundreds of babies and mothers annually in Pinellas Park, Florida. Pence praised pregnancy resource centers for their life-saving work, saying, “The pro-life movement is defined by generosity, compassion, and love for women and unborn children.”
