Pro-life advocates painted the phrase “Preborn Black Lives Matter” on July 4 outside a Planned Parenthood abortion facility to urge Americans to stand against racism in the abortion industry.

The Frederick Douglass Foundation of New York, a Christian public policy and educational organization, organized the event with Students for Life in Rochester, New York.

With yellow paint, the pro-life advocates painted “Preborn Black Lives Matter” on the street outside the largest abortion chain in America, Planned Parenthood. On average, based on its own annual reports, Planned Parenthood kills 247 black unborn babies every day in abortions.

“A fight against racism without addressing the number one killer in Black America is self-defeating,” said Peter Vazquez, president of the foundation. “The pro-life community continues to be ignored by those in positions to effectuate change; for too long community and even some faith leaders have squandered opportunities to focus on life, education and growth as a means to enrich our families and neighbors.”

During the event, they also honored Frederick Douglass, a black abolitionist who fought to end slavery in America, and introduced the Emancipation Proclamation for the Pre-Born American, a call on society to recognize unborn victims of abortion in the fight to end racism.

Like Douglass, the foundation leaders said they hope to educate authorities and community leaders about the value of unborn babies.

“Our intent is to increase opportunities for conversation as we seek growth, understanding and unity,” they said in a statement.

Chaplain Ayesha Kreutz, who founded the New York foundation, said America will not be blessed while it allows unborn babies to be killed.

“As a post abortive woman myself I know the long lasting devastation [abortion] causes,” she wrote on social media. “Abortion is a sin on this nation. There is no blessing America as we sanction the murdering of millions of innocent, helpless, voiceless children in what should be the safest place for them, their mother’s womb.”

In recent weeks, the phrase “Black Lives Matter” has been painted on streets in a number of cities as a sign of protest against racism. However, pro-life advocates have expressed concerns that the Black Lives Matter movement supports abortion – which destroys more black lives than any other cause.

Though abortions hurt families of every race and culture, statistics indicate that abortions disproportionately hurt the African American community. Census data indicates that African Americans make up about 13 percent of the U.S. population, but they have nearly 40 percent of all abortions. And New York City health statistics indicate that more African American babies are aborted in the city than are born each year.

And Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion chain in America. It aborts about 345,000 unborn babies each year while reporting billion-dollar revenues.

Many believe it targets minorities for abortions by placing its facilities in minority neighborhoods. Research by Protecting Black Life found that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of minority neighborhoods.

Since abortion became legal nation-wide in 1973, an estimated 20 million unborn black babies have been aborted.
