A pro-life organization in Ohio has endorsed President Donald trump, saying he has “instituted countless pro-life policies” as president, and urging pro-life voters to vote their pro-life values this presidential election by sending President trump back to the White House.
Ohio Right to Life informed LifeNews.com this morning that it has endorsed Trump for re-election, emphasizing the importance of electing leaders that will prioritize the pro-life cause at all levels of government.
“This November it is critical that we vote our pro-life values,” said Mike Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life. “At this pivotal time in our nation’s history it is imperative that we remain focused on our mission of ending abortion and instilling a culture of life throughout our nation.”
For Gonidakis, supporting President Trump is crucial to the long-term pro-life effort of overturning Roe v. Wade and ending abortion.
“With the future of the Supreme Court resting in the hands of our next president and by extension, the fate of Roe v. Wade, voting pro-life must remain our top priority. These endorsements, beginning with President Trump, will help us do just that,” he said.
He told LifeNews.com that Trump “has instituted countless pro-life policies since he was first elected in 2016 and was the first president in history to attend the March for Life.”
The Ohio Right to Life PAC also endorsed candidates for Ohio’s General Assembly. These pro-life candidates include a slate of strong pro-life women such as Representative Cindy Abrams, Representative Jena Powell, and Representative Susan Manchester.
“Our endorsed candidates whether running for state election or the highest office in the United States are proven pro-life trailblazers who Ohio Right to Life is proud to support,” said Gonidakis. “Every election and every vote matters and 2020 is no different. Lives literally depend on us voting our values. This November we must vote for the right to life.”
The Ohio pro-life group’s endorsement comes just one day after Kansans for Life issued an endorsement for the president in Kansas.

Kansans for Life is urging pro-life voters to support Trump against pro-abortion opponent Joe Biden, who supports unlimited abortions up to birth financed with taxpayer dollars.
“Without question Donald Trump is the most pro-life president in the history of the United States,” stated Melissa Leach on behalf of the Kansans for Life Political Action Committee.
She told LifeNews.com, “Not only has he made quality appointments to the federal bench and other federal positions, but he has reduced the flow of public dollars to the abortion industry, lent his voice to the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and became the first president to attend the National March for Life.”
Leach said Biden is not an option for any pro-life voter, noting that “Biden has taken such a radical position on this topic that he now strongly supports taxpayer-funded abortions.”
She told LifeNews that pro-life voters need to do more than just vote for President Trup, she said they need to actively support his campaign and urge pro-life friends and family to support him as well.
“Pro-lifers should do more than vote to ensure the President is able to continue his historic work on behalf of women and their preborn children. There is so much at stake in November, and we cannot leave anything on the field.”
In one of his first acts as president, Trump reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy, which prohibits taxpayer funding to groups that promote or provide abortions overseas. The change defunded Planned Parenthood’s international arm of about $100 million in U.S. tax dollars. The President also took steps to defund UNFPA, a United Nations agency which promotes abortions worldwide. President Trump has also repeatedly taken steps to cut off domestic funding to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.
Trump has repeatedly called out the Democratic Party’s extreme position on abortion. During his State of the Union address Trump slammed the governors of New York and Virginia for promoting abortion up to birth and infanticide. He also called for Congress to pass a ban on late-term abortions on babies who are capable of feeling pain.
Trump and his administration have made a number of changes to protect those who morally object to abortions, expanding conscience protections for medical workers who believe it is wrong to kill an unborn baby and increasing religious exemptions for Obamacare.
His administration also intervened to stop the United Nations from supporting abortion in a resolution about sexual violence. In 2018, under his leadership, the State Department removed references to the so-called “right” to abort an unborn baby from a global human rights report as well.
During his presidency, the administration also finalized a new Title X rule that requires health care entities to completely separate abortion from their taxpayer-funded services. Planned Parenthood, which already has said it will not comply, could lose about $60 million annually through the policy change.
Trump has appointed dozens of conservative judges to federal courts as well, including two to the U.S. Supreme Court and he has repeatedly told the UN that he will not promote abortion as a human right. And he has fought to support pro-life doctors and nurses who don’t want to be forced to be involved in abortions.
