Man Rapes Teen Girl, Then Forces Her to Kill Her Baby in an Abortion

A former police inspector in India was arrested earlier this month after allegedly raping a young girl and then forcing her to abort her unborn baby.

Kalinga TV reports at least six people have been accused of crimes in connection to the alleged abuses in Biramitrapur, India.

On Tuesday, the Odisha Crime Branch said its officers arrested Dr. Debashis Ghosh, from Biramitrapur Government Hospital in Sundergarh, for allegedly doing the illegal abortion on the underage girl.

Earlier, police also arrested former Biramitrapur Police Station inspector Ananda Chandra Majhi for allegedly raping the girl repeatedly over a four month period, according to the report.

After the girl became pregnant, Majhi allegedly arranged with Ghosh to do the illegal abortion on June 15, the report states.

The Orissa Post reports more:

… the victim had come to witness a fair at Biramitrapur area March 25 but it was canceled at the last moment due to the lockdown. The girl failed to return home and was wandering near the bus stand when a police patrolling team saw her and brought her to the police station.

Inspector Majhi allegedly raped her on the top floor of the police station. She was dropped at her home the next day. However, she was called to the police station regularly and raped by the inspector and other police officials for four months.
