A Catholic cardinal in South Africa slammed the Black Lives Matter organization recently for supporting the abortion industry and its mass destruction of unborn black lives.

Cardinal Wilfrid Fox Napier, the archbishop of Durban, South Africa, said the movement has been “hijacked” by radical political groups that do not really care about all black lives, Breitbart reports.

“A brief study of the founding statement of ‘Black Lives Matter’ indicates the movement is being hijacked by the interests & parties committed to dismantling the very values, structure & institutions which have over the centuries undergird the best civilisations & cultures!” he wrote on Twitter.

Part of its agenda includes supporting abortions.

“Another crucial test of the authenticity of the Black Lives Matter movement will be its stance vis a vis Planned Parenthood and the Abortion Industry!” Napier wrote Monday.

“The same test applies when assessing the sincerity of those who voice thunderous condemnation against Domestic Violence, (erroneously called ‘Gender based Violence’) as opposed to the absolute silence concerning Violence inflicted upon Babies in their mother’s womb!” he continued.

The Black Lives Matter movement began because people believe black Americans are being unfairly targeted and abused by the police. But today the organization is a radical, pro-abortion political group that pushes anti-life, anti-black and anti-family policies, including abortion on demand.

Abortion has destroyed more black lives than any other cause. Since 1973, more than 20 million unborn black babies have been killed in abortions. According to research by black pro-life advocate Walter Hoye, that amounts to about half of the American black population.

“Considering that the total current Black American population is about 42,000,000, the 20,350,000 Black American abortions are equal to 48.45% of the total Black American population. If not for abortion, the total Black American population would be approximately 62,350,000, or 48% greater than it is today,” he wrote in 2016.

Though abortions hurt families of every race and culture, statistics indicate that abortions disproportionately hurt the African American community. Census data indicates that African Americans make up about 13 percent of the U.S. population, but they have nearly 40 percent of all abortions. And New York City health statistics indicate that more African American babies are aborted in the city than are born each year.

Many believe the abortion industry targets minorities for abortions as well. Research by Protecting Black Life found that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of minority neighborhoods.

Black Lives Matter claims to stand up against racism and support the oppressed, but its pro-abortion stance is only hurting more black lives, born and unborn.
