The pro-abortion political group MoveOn announced its endorsement of Joe Biden for president Wednesday, describing him as a “progressive” leader who will bring about the big changes “this country needs.”

For MoveOn, these changes include supporting abortion on demand.

The Epoch Times reports the progressive group’s political action committee members voted overwhelmingly to endorse Biden for president. They supported U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2016.

“MoveOn’s millions of members are ready to mobilize together in support of Joe Biden, working to turn out voters in key states and ensure that Donald Trump is a one-term president,” said Rahna Epting, the PAC executive director, in a statement.

Epting slammed President Donald Trump as “racist, corrupt, immoral, and incompetent” and praised Biden as “the most progressive” leader in history.

“Joe Biden is a leader who listens, who is running on the most progressive platform in Democratic Party history, and whose election would create an opportunity for the big, structural changes this country needs,” she said.

But Trump campaign director Tim Murtaugh explained what this so-called “progressive” agenda includes.

“In their endorsement, MoveOn praised Biden for running on the ‘most progressive platform’ ever, which includes tax increases, the job-killing regulations of the Green New Deal, free healthcare for illegal aliens, liberal judges, and abortion-on-demand,” Murtaugh said in a statement.

He said Biden has been sprinting left “to appease the radical extremists in his party.”

On the abortion issue, this is especially true. Though most voters oppose late-term and taxpayer-funded abortions, Biden now supports both.

Biden flip-flopped on the issue of taxpayer-funded abortions last June after facing intense pressure from the abortion industry.

“It can’t stay,” Biden said of the Hyde Amendment during an exchange with an ACLU activist. Later, he confirmed that he no longer supports the amendment, which prohibits taxpayer-funded elective abortions through Medicaid.

He also promised that one of his first acts as president would be to restore funding to Planned Parenthood, the billion-dollar abortion chain.

Biden recently said he would be committed to “the constitutional right to an abortion” and “reverse the Trump administration and states’ all-out assault on women’s right to choose.” He also promised to “work to codify Roe v. Wade.” The infamous U.S. Supreme Court decision made the United States one of only seven countries in the world that allows elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

In April, he even called the killing of unborn babies an “essential medical service” during the coronavirus pandemic.

This shift left has earned him the support of powerful pro-abortion groups.

MoveOn, backed by pro-abortion billionaire George Soros, plans to spend $20 million on the election, according to the report. Its focus is on voters in key swing states, including Pennsylvania, Florida, Wisconsin and Colorado.

Planned Parenthood, the billion-dollar abortion chain, also endorsed Biden in June. It plans to spend at least $45 million on the election.
