Planned Parenthood Names New CEO Who’s “Honored” to Keep Killing Babies in Abortions

Planned Parenthood just named Alexis McGill Johnson as the CEO of its billion-dollar abortion chain.

Johnson, who has been working as acting CEO for the past year, celebrated her new, permanent position Friday in an email to supporters.

“I can’t imagine spending my time any other way. So when the Board asked me to remain in this position permanently, I accepted without hesitation,” she wrote. “I couldn’t be more honored to be doing this work alongside all of you.”

Johnson is no stranger to the abortion “non-profit.” She was on its board of directors for many years before becoming acting CEO last year. Johnson took on the role after the abortion chain fired Dr. Leana Wen from the position for not being aggressively pro-abortion enough.

Abortion is Planned Parenthood’s core mission, and Johnson has been pushing the notion that killing an unborn baby is “health care.”

“I think we need to take away the stigma from thinking about abortion as anything other than basic health care,” she said in 2019.

Last year, Planned Parenthood reported a record 345,627 abortions and $1.6 billion in revenue. Meanwhile, its patient numbers and actual health services, including cancer screenings, well-women exams and birth control, have been dropping steadily. During the coronavirus shutdowns, some of its facilities were open for abortions only.

And Johnson is committed to continuing the fight for the so-called right to abort any unborn baby for any reason without restriction and to force taxpayers to fund them.

“We share the belief that you can’t truly be free until you have control over your own body, your health, and your future,” she wrote Friday. “That’s why we’re in this fight. That’s why we persist even — especially — when things get tough.”

She attributed her passion to her upbringing in the civil rights movement, writing:

My commitment to social justice started when I was a kid. I was born just after the landmark victories of the civil rights movement and just before Roe v. Wade. I remember marching alongside my parents who were boldly Black and boldly proud. They taught me what it meant to be a Black woman in America — and that each person can create change.

So I got to work. I’ve spent my entire career working toward equity and justice. I’ve worked in academia and research, as a political and cultural organizer, and have dedicated myself to advocating for reproductive rights and access to quality, affordable health care.

Many civil rights leaders believed and continue to believe that abortion is a horrific injustice against the unborn, but Johnson claimed she also is fighting against racism through Planned Parenthood. She described her work as compassionate and people-centered.

“We will fight for the rights of all people — no matter who they are or where they live. No matter what,” she wrote.

Except if these people are still in the womb. Or young girls being pressured by an abuser into an abortion. Or parents who want to be informed before their underage daughter has an abortion. Or a woman who wants to see her unborn baby on an ultrasound screen.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Johnson’s background is in politics and research, not health care. Previously, she taught political science at both Yale and Wesleyan Universities. She has been involved in other left-wing political groups, including Citizen Change, Color of Change, Revolutions Per Minute and Narrative Initiative, according to her biography.

She also claims to be a Christian.

Planned Parenthood does more abortions than any other group in the U.S. Its political arm also spends massive amounts of money to elect pro-abortion Democrats to office. In 2019, it announced a $45 million election budget to defeat President Donald Trump.
