Former Democrat presidential candidate and current pro-abortion Colorado Senate hopeful John Hickenlooper says he believes Tara Reade’s allegations that Joe Biden assaulted her. But he’s voting for Biden anyway.

Reade, a staffer to then-Senator Biden, alleges that the presidential hopeful sexually assaulted her in an encounter on Capitol Hill decades ago. When asked about her allegations, Hickenlooper said he believed her story.

“First, let me say that any woman who comes forward and talks about the sexual assault that they’ve had to endure, they deserve to be listened to and they deserve to be believed. I look at Tara Reade as someone who has shown a great deal of courage to come forward, and talk about what happened to her. It’s standard that you go through a process of vetting and examining these types of allegations, and this is certainly a very complicated case,” he said.

But he said that wouldn’t stop him from supporting Biden.

“In the end, I still support Joe Biden for president, absolutely,” he said.

When pressed further about whether he believes Tara reade’s claims about Biden sexual assault, he admitted he does.

Frank: “Yes or no, do you believe her allegations? Do you believe Tara Reade?”

Hickenlooper: “I believe…”

Frank: “Yes, or no? Do you believe her allegations?”

Hickenlooper: “To a large extent, yes.”

Reade has accused Biden of kissing her, touching her, and penetrating her without her consent in 1993 when she worked for him as a senate staffer in Washington, D.C. Biden has repeatedly denied these allegations.

Biden has previously said that voters should choose between voting for him and believing Reade’s allegations.

“Well, I think they should vote their heart and if they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me,” Biden said on MSNBC. “I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade.”
