Planned Parenthood Uses Mother’s Day to Raise Funds to Kill Babies in Abortions

Planned Parenthood does not promote motherhood.

The abortion chain destroys more unborn babies’ lives than any other group in the U.S. It has been accused of discriminating against its pregnant employees and refusing ultrasounds to mothers who want to keep their unborn babies. It also was caught falsely advertising prenatal care, which most of its facilities do not provide.

Yet, Planned Parenthood had the audacity to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday on social media and via email.

Its flowery fundraising email included a poem honoring mothers: “This one’s for the mothers raising families and moving mountains … When hugs and kisses can’t be shared, meaningful words go a long way. Forward this email to a mom or maternal figure in your life and consider making a donation to Planned Parenthood in their honor.”

Its Twitter post contained a similar sentiment: “From moms at home, to moms on the front line – thank you. Happy Mother’s Day!”

Understandably, it did not go over very well. The abortion group’s Twitter post quickly was ratioed, a term used when a post receives more negative comments than likes. On Monday, the post had more than 6,000 comments, compared to barely 2,000 likes.

Townhall highlighted a number of pro-life and conservative leaders’ responses to the abortion chain.

“Praying for all the mothers you’ve made childless, likely feeling deep sorrow today,” Daily Wire writer Amanda Prestigiacomo wrote.

“This is a joke, right?” the Daily Caller’s Virginia Kruta added.

Americans United for Life, whose leader knows the pain and regret of abortion personally, said the post made it “cringe.”

And Obianuju Ekeocha, founder of Culture of Life Africa, responded to the tweet with disgust, writing, “Planned Parenthood, an organization that prevents and steals motherhood from hundreds of thousands of women each year, is wishing us Happy Mother’s Day …”

As National Review pointed out, Planned Parenthood’s idea of “helping” mothers is to dispense “with their unborn children who made them mothers to begin with!”

Abortions do not just end a pregnancy or delay motherhood. Abortions end lives, and mothers are mothers from the moment that their unborn babies are conceived. Mother’s Day is about celebrating that special, unique bond between a mother and her child. So, how can a group celebrate what it works daily to destroy?
