Joe Biden keeps surrounding himself with abortion activists on the campaign trail.
On Sunday, his campaign hosted a town hall with actor Tony Goldwyn, who, like many celebrities, also is an abortion activist, Breitbart reports. Goldwyn (“Scandal,” “Chambers”) joined Biden senior advisor Symone Sanders to talk about the coronavirus and its effects on the entertainment industry.
Though their focus was on the economy, Goldwyn also has been open about his support of abortion and the largest abortion chain in America, Planned Parenthood.
According to Breitbart, the actor praised the billion dollar abortion chain in 2017 for doing “lifesaving work.” Planned Parenthood aborted more than 345,000 unborn babies in 2018, according to its own annual report.
“There’s been a lot of disinformation about Planned Parenthood and the focus of the lifesaving work that they do for women’s health care,” Goldwyn said at the time. “I saw a much-publicized image of all those white men sitting around in a room at the White House talking about what should be done about women’s health care, and I thought I would step up.”
“If Planned Parenthood is defunded, millions of women, particularly women struggling economically, are going to be in serious trouble,” he continued.

Around that same time, President Donald Trump defunded Planned Parenthood of about $60 million through the Title X program. The abortion chain still is battling against the move in court. Meanwhile, those tax dollars are being redirected to legitimate medical clinics that provide comprehensive health care to low-income individuals.
Biden would undo this and other pro-life efforts to save lives, if elected. Biden is a pro-abortion Democrat, and his stance on abortion has shifted further left in recent years. Last year, he even gave up his long-held position supporting the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer-funded abortions through Medicare.
The Democrat presidential candidate now supports forcing taxpayers to pay for elective abortions. In late February at a town hall in South Carolina, Biden also promised that one of his first acts as president would be to restore funding to Planned Parenthood.
Biden has a strong pro-abortion voting record that goes back for many years. He supported President Barack Obama’s leadership as the most pro-abortion president in U.S. history. As the vice president, he supported the administration’s pro-abortion policies, including Obamacare, which forced religious employers to pay for drugs that may cause abortions.
What’s more, pro-abortion movement leaders say they “trust” Biden to protect abortion on demand.
From 2001 to 2008, Biden’s voting record on pro-life issues was close to zero, according to the National Right to Life Committee. In 2005, for example, he voted against the Mexico City Policy, which prohibits funding to overseas groups that promote and/or perform abortions. He also voted repeatedly to require that military service members’ abortions be covered by taxpayer dollars.
