Planned Parenthood Official: “During Times of Crisis” There is a “Need” to Kill Babies in Abortions

Americans all across the country are stepping up to help their neighbors, serve the sick and ensure basic medical supplies are available to the medical workers who are treating patients suffering from the coronavirus.

Their service shows how much people are willing to work and sacrifice to save lives, especially during a crisis.

And yet, some are advocating for the exact opposite. They claim some lives are not worth saving, that some lives are worth sacrificing. These people are abortion activists, and they are insisting that killing unborn babies is essential during a crisis.

This week, Nina Meltzer of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains told Boulder Weekly that her abortion chain has no plans to stop elective abortions. Because, apparently, the answer to a crisis that is destroying lives is to destroy even more lives.

“Our doors are open,” she said in an email. “The need for sexual and reproductive health care remains even during times of crisis, and we are here for our patients. We are incredibly grateful for our local leaders, who recognize that reproductive health care is essential heath care — and that includes abortion care.”

Two weeks ago, Colorado ordered all “elective and non-essential surgeries” to stop during the coronavirus outbreak to preserve medical supplies and prevent further spread of the virus. Abortion facilities in the state are not complying, though, because they believe they are providing an “essential” service. Most state leaders are pro-abortion Democrats who agree.

Earlier this week, Planned Parenthood national CEO Alexis McGill Johnson made a similar claim when she attacked states that included elective abortions in their health care restrictions.

“How heartless do you have to be to, in a time of crisis, take extraordinary measures to take away people’s health care?” said Johnson, who runs the billion-dollar abortion chain.

“While people everywhere are trying to survive the COVID-19 pandemic, politicians like [Texas Gov. Greg] Abbott continue this perverse obsession with banning abortion. Those who are caring for their families, forced to work essential jobs, and doing what they can to stay healthy need access to health care right now. Instead, these politicians are forcing patients to travel hundreds of miles putting themselves and their families at risk,” she continued.

But as many Americans are demonstrating, the answer to a crisis is not to abandon or destroy the most vulnerable people in society for the benefit of others. Human lives, even the most vulnerable and defenseless, are worth working hard for, worth sacrificing for. Babies in the womb are unique, living human beings who depend on their parents and society for life. Their lives are just as valuable and just as worthy of hard work and sacrifice.

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has proven that it is putting its own abortion business ahead of so-called health care.

The Planned Parenthood abortion giant is using up precious medical supplies to destroy lives while the rest of the country is working desperately to save lives from the coronavirus. Across the country, affiliates of the billion-dollar abortion chain are urging supporters to donate personal protective equipment so that they can continue to kill unborn babies in elective abortions.
