Joe Biden: “Treat People With Dignity.” Except Unborn Children Killed in Abortions

Joe Biden’s campaign has been touting his so-called Catholic faith by proclaiming that he believes in treating everyone “with dignity.”

Biden has attracted a lot of negative press lately for swearing at voters and insulting them, but his worst hypocrisy is his position on abortion. While talking about promoting “dignity” and loving “your neighbor as yourself,” Biden ignores that unborn babies are unique, living human beings who also deserve basic human rights.

According to Breitbart, the former vice president’s campaign website includes his “Agenda for the Catholic Community.” Though the Catholic Church strongly opposes abortion and urges lawmakers to restore unborn babies’ right to life, Biden’s agenda does not include any of that.

Instead it states: “I’m a practicing Catholic. … I believe faith is a gift. And the first obligation we all have is, ‘Love your God,’ the second one is, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ … ‘Treat people with dignity.’ Everyone’s entitled to dignity, that’s a basic tenet in my household.”

The campaign says Biden wants to “build an economy where everyone comes along and we protect the ‘least of these.’” And while his agenda excludes babies in the womb, it does advocate for “dignity” for unions, Breitbart reports.

Biden’s Catholic agenda excludes abortion for a reason. The former vice president has aligned himself with the billion-dollar abortion industry and its radical pro-abortion agenda.

Recently, he said he would be committed to “the constitutional right to an abortion” and “reverse the Trump administration and states’ all-out assault on women’s right to choose.” He also promised to “work to codify Roe v. Wade.” The infamous U.S. Supreme Court decision made the United States one of only seven countries in the world that allows elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

During the presidential debate Sunday on CNN, Biden also said he would force taxpayer to pay for abortions by ending the Hyde Amendment. The decades-old amendment prohibits taxpayer funding of elective abortions in Medicaid.

Biden’s extremes do not stop there. His health care plan would expand abortions as well. The plan would codify Roe v. Wade into federal law, prohibiting states from passing even moderate restrictions that protect unborn babies from late-term abortions. It also would force insurance companies to cover abortions as “essential” health care under Obamacare.

If elected, Biden also may continue former President Barack Obama’s erosion of religious freedom by continuing the fight against Catholic nuns who oppose paying for abortion-causing drugs in their employee health plans.

To most Americans, including many Catholics, Biden’s positions are too extreme.

Polls consistently show that most support strong limits on abortion, especially in the third trimester when babies are viable outside the womb. A recent Gallup poll found that 60 percent of Americans want abortion legal “only in a few circumstances” (39 percent) or “illegal in all circumstances” (21 percent). Most voters strongly oppose taxpayer-funded abortions, too.
