Planned Parenthood: “From Now Until November, This is the Goal: We Must Defeat Donald Trump”

Planned Parenthood is desperate to kick President Donald Trump out of office.

The billion-dollar abortion chain does more abortions than any other group in the United States, including more than 345,000 last year; and its future is at stake.

“From now until November, this is the goal: we must defeat Donald Trump,” Planned Parenthood Action wrote Sunday on Twitter. “In a time when the country is feeling the drastic effects of Trump’s attacks on [abortion] we need a leader who will expand access to repro health care, not one who undermines it.”

Trump has proven himself to be a strong pro-life leader. During his time in office, he implemented multiple measures to defund Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups, expose their radical pro-abortion agenda, and protect unborn babies and mothers.

The abortion industry wants those life-saving measures to stop. In October, Planned Parenthood announced plans to spend at least $45 million on the 2020 election to defeat Trump.

“We can’t afford four more years of Trump stacking the courts to fit his anti-abortion agenda,” the abortion chain warned Sunday. “Over 180 Trump-nominated judges have been confirmed to lifetime positions. In a matter of months, [the Supreme Court] is deciding cases on abortion, birth control, AND the Affordable Care Act.”

The judges’ decisions could protect religious freedom, the rights of women and unborn babies, or they could benefit the abortion industry. Four more years with Trump could mean more judges who will uphold basic rights and protections for every human life.

In contrast, four years with a pro-abortion Democrat president could mean more dead unborn babies, less religious freedom and more tax dollars going to the already heavily-funded abortion industry.

After the Democratic presidential debate Sunday, Planned Parenthood acting president Alexis McGill Johnson praised Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders for supporting taxpayer-funded abortions.

“Glad to hear both Dem candidates oppose the harmful Hyde amendment, which makes abortion inaccessible for many people of color, young people & people with low incomes. Alongside @AllAboveAll & our repro justice partners, we’ll hold them to their promises,” she wrote on Twitter.

It is just another reason why they want Trump gone. He has been working to defund the abortion industry in multiple ways. Through the Mexico City Policy, he cut about $100 million in American tax dollars to the International Planned Parenthood Federation and $73 million more to the British abortion chain Marie Stopes International. He also defunded Planned Parenthood of about $60 million through the Title X program and redirected that money to actual medical clinics that help families.

A lot is at stake in November, and the abortion industry knows it. Abortion activists have become increasingly clear about their intentions if their candidates win: Unrestricted, taxpayer-funded abortions for any reason up to birth will become the law of the land.

That is not what voters want. Every year, nearly 1 million unborn babies are killed in abortions in America. Voters want meaningful restrictions on abortion that protect babies and mothers. They do not want their tax dollars to fund abortions. And they need to say it at the polls in November.
