The abortion industry has a friend in billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

And if the former New York City mayor is elected to the White House, that relationship certainly will continue.

Bloomberg, a pro-abortion Democrat, has a long record of both public and private support of abortion on demand, including almost $14 million in donations to the abortion giant Planned Parenthood within the past several years, CBN News reports.

According to Newsbusters, the Bloomberg Family Foundation donated $13,962,000 to the abortion chain between 2014 and 2017. Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion chain in America; last year, it aborted more than 345,000 unborn babies.

Bloomberg is one of the top ten richest people in America, according to the report; and his donations to abortion groups are swaying some voters. Laura Chapin, a Democrat political strategist in Colorado, told the Denver Post that she supports U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren for president, but she likes that Bloomberg has given so much money to Planned Parenthood. If he wins the Democratic nomination, Chapin said she would vote for him.

But his radical abortion advocacy is likely to turn away more voters than it attracts. To put his $14 million donation into perspective, his money could have funded the abortion deaths of about 23,154 unborn babies. The average cost of a first-trimester abortion is about $603, according to research by Operation Rescue.

Bloomberg’s support for the killing of unborn babies does not end there. And if what one of his former employees says is true, his abortion advocacy is not about a woman’s “choice”; it’s about “killing” an inconvenient unborn child.

Allegedly, a female employee told Bloomberg that she was pregnant and his response was to “kill it,” according to a 1997 lawsuit. He also allegedly remarked sarcastically, “Great! Number 16,” supposedly in reference to the number of pregnant women on his payroll. The lawsuit accused the former mayor of numerous other inappropriate behaviors in the workplace as well.

He is also a passionate abortion advocate. In 2014, he led a $50 million initiative to help women in Nicaragua, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Uganda “freely and safely make decisions about when to have children,” by attaining abortions.

As mayor of New York, he championed the issued by supporting a Manhattan statute that ensured public OB-GYN residents were taught how to perform abortions.

“When I was elected mayor, one of the first things we did was make sure that all city hospitals teach OB-GYN residents reproductive care, including how to safely perform abortions – something we did amid much criticism,” he said of the program, according to ChristianHeadlines.

In a recent column at Newsmax, Catholic activist Bill Donohue called Bloomberg “one of the most radical pro-abortion politicians in American history.”

As mayor, Bloomberg pushed radical pro-abortion policies on New York City, including an ordinance that restricted pro-life pregnancy centers’ free speech. He also received an award from Planned Parenthood in 2014.

Bloomberg has come under fire for cancer treatments for elderly people should be ended to save costs and was sued by a pregnant employee for telling her she should “kill it,” referring to her baby.

Additionally, he has been a big supporter of life-destroying embryonic stem cell research. In 2006, he donated $100 million to Johns Hopkins University for stem cell research, including embryonic stem cell research.
