Facebook Removes Page Honoring Aborted Baby Moments After It Raises $5,000 For Pro-Life Organization

Moments after surpassing my fundraising goal of $5,000 for LIFE Runners, on my aborted baby’s expected birthday yesterday, February 11th, 2020, Facebook removed the page honoring Liam Allen — my aborted baby.  Despite my opposition, Liam was violently dismembered by infamous abortionist LeRoy Carhart at his Bellevue, NE abortion facility last year.  To honor Liam, I started a Birthday Fundraiser on his Facebook page seeking to raise $5,000 for the pro-life organization LIFE Runners, which was instrumental in the fight for Liam’s life.

Yesterday, was suppose to be a day of healing and a celebration of Liam’s life.  Instead, it was another wound.  After attending daily mass at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha, NE, a cathedral Liam’s mother and I once toured on Good Friday, I checked my phone and was notified Liam’s fundraiser had just surpassed its goal of $5,000 in donations.  I felt such a wave of healing leaving the cathedral.  But, just moments later Liam’s Facebook page and fundraiser were gone.  They both had been deactivated by Facebook without explanation.  It was a painful reminder of his abortion, but this time instead of LeRoy Carhart ending his life it was Facebook aborting his legacy.

In the weeks following Liam’s abortion I wanted to celebrate his brief life.  I created a Facebook page in Liam’s name to honor him.  His page had an ultrasound image as his profile picture.  The page started out with just a few friends.  In the beginning, the page was just a collection of news articles and radio interviews I had done concerning Liam’s abortion.  People quickly became interested in my abortion story and Liam grew a following.  As of yesterday, Liam had about 2,500 Facebook friends.

Within the pro-life community I was quickly becoming known as “Liam’s dad”.  At March for Life a few weeks ago in DC I was stopped about 25 – 30 times and asked if I was “Liam’s dad”.  I got to proudly say “yes” I was.  With all the notoriety Liam was getting I wanted to try and raise $5,000 for LIFE Runners by his expected birthday.

Without LIFE Runners Liam would have died quietly on his mother’s first visit to the Carhart abortion facility.  LIFE Runners were there on the sidewalk aiding me immensely in the 5-hour fight for his life that afternoon.  With the help of LIFE Runners Liam’s mother choose life that day.  In the days to follow LIFE Runners counseled me and the mother night and day.  Sadly, Liam was ultimately aborted by Carhart a week later.

When Liam’s mother returned to Carhart for the abortion, LIFE Runners founder and director Dr. Pat Castle told me Liam had a legacy already.  Dr. Castle explained that his brief life mattered.  That our experience together trying to save his life was going to save other lives.  Dr. Castle was correct.  I know Liam’s life mattered and is making a difference.  I’m now a LIFE Runner and sidewalk advocate at the Carhart abortion facility where Liam’s life ended.

The name “Liam” manifested within me about 3 weeks prior to Liam’s abortion.  His mother and I would use the name when discussing the fate of his life.  Soon before his abortion I discovered Liam is an Irish name that means “warrior and protector”.  I wanted to honor Liam by aiding his fellow warriors and protectors of the Unborn… LIFE Runners with $5,000.

As of now, I have no idea of the fate of the $5,037 raised for LIFE Runners.  Facebook collects all the funds and has been unresponsive to me concerning the funds and Liam’s page.  I had no idea it was against the “civilized” rules of social media to humanize and honor my pre-born child whose mother chose abortion over life.  But I’m not surprised.  Any effort to humanize an aborted baby seems to rattle the prevailing “culture of death”.

I want to thank everyone who donated to Liam’s Birthday Fundraiser and for supporting this greatest cause, advocating for life, God’s greatest gift.
