Tom Steyer, the billionaire Democrat presidential candidate, is attempting to assert the moral high ground against President Donald Trump. Steyer made the ridiculous claim in a new television interview that President Trump has tortured children — even though Steyer is on recording supporting abortions up to birth that destroy the lives of little babies.
Steyer appeared on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal” and the host asked him to give a reaction to the Supreme Court’s decision to lift lower courts’ injunctions against the Trump administration’s “public charge” rule, which can deny permanent status to immigrants who have used taxpayer-funded benefits. The California billionaire, after declaring his opposition to the ruling, took a broad swipe at the president’s immigration agenda.
“He is not opposed to immigration — he is opposed to immigration by nonwhite people, and under those rules, he has inflamed his supporters,” Steyer said. “He has committed crimes on international law, but he has also tortured children, and he has committed crimes against humanity.”
At no point did Steyer offer any examples or evidence of what “crimes against humanity” the president allegedly committed. The mention of “tortured children” is likely in reference to reports of detained migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border — something that was a common occurrence in previous administrations, including the Obama era.
In many cases,the detention of children at the border is for their protection – as children are often taken across the border by sex traffickers, people working for drug lords, and are forced to be mules to bring drugs into the United States or to help criminals and illegal immigrants get across the border.

What Steyer fails to mention is that he supports torturing children before birth.
There is no doubt that Steyer, the single largest donor to the Democratic Party in recent years, would support abortion on demand if elected. Last summer, as the party debated welcoming pro-life Democrats, he announced that he would donate money only to pro-abortion candidates.
“We do not work for a single candidate who is not pro-choice,” Steyer said at the time. “I think people like to have litmus tests. We are explicitly pro-choice. We work a lot with Planned Parenthood, we work a lot with NARAL. We are absolutely committed to it.”
Steyer is worth about $1.61 billion, according to Forbes. He runs the NextGen America PAC, which supports liberal, pro-abortion candidates. He spent $90 million to back pro-abortion candidates in the 2016 election and about $75 million in the 2014 election, Politico reports.
Some of the biggest abortion supporters are rich, privileged old white men like Steyer. George Soros has donated $247 million to liberal and pro-abortion groups in the past few years, and Warren Buffett has given nearly $2 billion to pro-abortion groups in less than two decades.
