Former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Leah Darrow is trying to counteract the message that women need to abort their unborn babies to succeed.

On Tuesday, as she prepared to give birth to her fifth child, Darrow posted a video on Instagram to tell women that babies are gifts worth celebrating, the Daily Wire reports.

“Babies don’t keep us from our dreams,” she said. “I’m getting ready to deliver a baby that will not keep me from my professional growth, but will make me better because of it. And I’m so honored and excited, and I can’t wait to have this baby.”

Darrow felt the need to speak out after actress Michelle Williams “thanked God” for her abortion at the Golden Globe awards earlier this month. Williams claimed her “right to choose” abortion is the reason for her success.

But Darrow said that message simply is not true.

“New life never keeps us from our dreams,” she wrote on Instagram. “One of the cruelest lies that the Devil tells women is that we aren’t brave or strong enough to do what God invites us into when we bring life into the world. New life is always a gift. And I’m humbled that I get to receive this new life AND live out the *abundant* life the Lord created me for.”

She said culture is misleading women about motherhood and babies, and they deserve better. She urged people to share the truth with women and girls in their lives.

“Please share this message with the ladies in your life because women deserve a better narrative than what the culture gives us,” Darrow wrote. “We deserve to believe that life really *can* be this good, and that receiving new life is always, always, always pure gift.”

William’s pro-abortion acceptance speech drew widespread attention last week. Though she never used the word abortion, Williams credited her success to her so-called “right to choose.” She said she is grateful to live in a society that allows women the “choice” to abort their unborn babies, Slate reported at the time.

Williams also “thanked God” for the freedom to abort her own unborn children, and encouraged women to vote in their “own self-interest” because “it’s what men have been doing for years.”
