No longer hiding behind the old “safe, legal and rare” rhetoric, abortion activists now are openly pushing for abortions for any reason up to birth.
And they mean any reason, including for birth control, sex-selection or an unborn baby with as minor a defect as a cleft lip.
In a column for the pro-abortion site Rewire News, Paige Alexandria (pictured), an abortion activist with We Testify Texas, argued that women should not feel bad for aborting multiple unborn babies.
“There’s no reason not to be comfortable having multiple abortions – and you’re not reckless or stupid for becoming pregnant again,” she wrote.
She said last year, her friend “Chelsea” aborted two unborn babies in three months after neglecting to use birth control.
Alexandria said her friend did not feel any shame about her two abortions. A working mother of three children under age 6, Chelsea did not want another child. Nor, apparently, did her husband.
She continued:
Most people who have abortions are already parents like Chelsea, and her first pregnancy was 12 weeks along when she found out about it.
She considered continuing the pregnancy. “As a parent already, it felt natural,” Chelsea told Rewire.News. But she felt “95 percent” sure she was going to have an abortion. Having experienced postpartum depression (PPD) after the deliveries of her last two children, she felt she had no way to really prepare to reexperience the anxiety of the process.
Just three months later, Chelsea discovered she was pregnant again. Alexandria said the pregnancy was the result of unprotected sex.

In other words, a second baby was killed because of his/her parents’ irresponsibility. Rather than use birth control, get sterilized or abstain from sex, knowing that they did not want another baby, they acted recklessly and then destroyed their baby’s life
Alexandria tried to justify their behavior, arguing that society should accept abortion for any reason.
“If you’re comfortable having one abortion, then there’s no reason not to be comfortable with others. You’re not reckless or stupid for becoming pregnant again,” Chelsea told her.
“A lot of people would want me to feel guilty or disappointed in myself over this, but having an abortion is normal—and I feel strongly about that now more than ever,” her friend continued.
Abortion activists are trying to convince the public that it’s perfectly ok to sacrifice your own child on the altar of convenience. But killing an unborn baby – a unique, living human being from the moment of conception – is not normal or good. It never will be. Abortion is a human rights violation that destroys the life of an innocent human being. Babies in the womb deserve a right to life, the most fundamental right of all, and they deserve to be protected by their parents, not killed.
