Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee today voted to impeach President Donald Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, even though Republicans say the president and his 2016 presidential campaign are the real victims.
The vote sends the articles to the House floor for a vote that Speaker Nancy Pelosi said will take place next week.
Wisconsin Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, who is pro-life, stated the concerns of Republicans and a majority of Americans about the sham impeachment vote and process.
“I think it’s obvious to all America that this is a railroad job,” Sensenbrenner said. “The facts speak for themselves. There was no impeachable offense here.”
The head of a leading pro-life group says impeachment speaks more to how much President Donald Trump is hated by Democrats and she told LifeNews that the president is disliked in part because he’s been so effective at governing pro-life.
“Democratic Party leaders’ extremism – displayed in their drive to oust President Trump, as well as their support for taxpayer-funded abortion on demand through birth and even infanticide – is a major political liability going into 2020,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser
She told LifeNews: “President Trump is the most effective pro-life president in the history of our nation. From stopping taxpayer funding of the abortion industry at home and abroad, to protecting the conscience rights of pro-life Americans, to the confirmation of over 150 outstanding federal judges, he has beyond delivered on his promises to the voters who elected him. Calls for impeachment have been partisan from the beginning and motivated in part by opposition to the President’s pro-life policy victories.”
“We thank Ranking Member Doug Collins in the House, Chairman Graham on the Senate side, and all our pro-life allies in Congress for standing united against this assault on the will of the American people. SBA List is proud to stand with President Trump and our field team will be working through Election Day to secure his re-election,” she added.
Gary Bauer, the head of American Values and a pro-life former presidential candidate, agrees.
“The radical left never accepted the results of the last election, and hate-filled progressives have been trying to impeach President Trump since the day he took office,” he said. “It seems liberal politicians don’t trust the voters to make the correct choice next November.”
President Trump’s record on pro-life values has been so strong a pro-life organization honored President Donald Trump on Sunday as a “courageous” advocate for life.
Trump has taken a number of important actions to protect unborn babies since he became president.
In one of his first acts as president, he reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy, which prohibits taxpayer funding to international groups that promote or provide abortions overseas. The change defunded Planned Parenthood’s international arm of about $100 million in U.S. tax dollars.

Trump also repeatedly calls out the Democratic Party’s extreme position on abortion. During his state of the union address this year, Trump slammed the governors of New York and Virginia for promoting abortion up to birth and infanticide. He also called for Congress to pass a ban on late-term abortions on babies who are capable of feeling pain.
Trump and his administration have made a number of changes to protect those who morally object to abortions, expanding conscience protections for pro-life medical workers and increasing religious exemptions for Obamacare.
His administration also intervened to stop the United Nations from supporting abortion in a resolution about sexual violence. In 2018, under his leadership, the State Department removed references to the so-called “right” to abort an unborn baby from a global human rights report as well.
This spring, the administration also finalized a new Title X rule that requires health care entities to completely separate abortion from their taxpayer-funded services. Planned Parenthood lost about $60 million in taxpayer funding through the policy change.
Trump also has appointed dozens of conservative judges to federal courts, including two to the U.S. Supreme Court.
