Actress Jameela Jamil continued her screed against pro-lifers on Twitter this week, slamming them as hypocrites for supposedly not caring for children after they are born.

Known for her role in NBC’s “The Good Place,” Jamil also is an abortion activist who has publicly defended aborting her own unborn baby.

Earlier this month, she faced criticism for claiming abortions are essential to democracy. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she and feminist Gloria Steinem argued that the legalized killing of unborn babies is a matter of liberty and freedom, according to the Daily Wire. The criticism prompted her to write a series of nasty tweets this week, slamming pro-lifers as “trolls” and “clueless.”

On Wednesday, Jamil followed up with even more accusations – including the false but common claim that pro-lifers do not care about children after they are born.

“You people are Pro birth. Not pro life,” she wrote on Twitter. “There are plenty of starving, homeless babies currently. Over 100k currently seeking foster care. You care about fetuses, Once they’re out the womb, you don’t give a f—.”

The Daily Wire reports more:

Jamil then posted a nasty political cartoon depicting pro-lifers as hateful bigots who don’t care about born children or mothers, despite loads of data contradicting such nonsense.

“Literally. And this is how they speak to white mothers. ..,” Jamil posted, though it remains unclear why the TV star added race into the equation with her “white mothers” emphasis.

The cartoon shows “pro-lifers” saying, “We’ll do whatever we can to protect your life” to an unborn child. The second half of the cartoon shows the same “pro-lifers” viciously attacking the mother and the child, saying the following:

“Now you’re on your own.” “Get a job, moocher.” “I hope your tramp mom doesn’t want food stamps to feed you.” “Or medical insurance.”

Under her posts were hundreds of comments from pro-life individuals who refuted her claims with examples of how they help mothers and children, both in and outside the womb.

The pro-life movement runs thousands of pregnancy resource centers that provide free material resources and support to mothers and babies both before and after birth. They serve an estimated 2 million people annually, providing everything from diapers and cribs to ultrasounds and STI testing.

Then there are maternity homes, adoption agencies, small-town pro-life organizations and countless other programs that run diaper drives, set up scholarships, organize baby showers and so much more. This Christmas, for example, the Students for Life club at Liberty University organized a holiday gift drive for a local abuse shelter.

Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life, said Jamil is wrong about pro-life advocates for more reasons than one.

“There is nothing wrong with me fighting [abortion] and spending 100% of my time doing it,” Hawkins said, according to the Daily Wire. “Just like how there’s nothing wrong with the American Diabetes Association putting 100% of their money, their research, and time behind curing juvenile diabetes.”

She said abortion activists like Jamil “don’t really care” that pro-life advocates practice what they preach, whether by welcoming struggling mothers into their homes, becoming foster parents or donating to charity.

“It’s just an argument to try to stop the actual discussion from happening, which is abortion is a moral wrong and it should be stopped,” Hawkins said.
