Planned Parenthood is targeting three pro-life U.S. senators with a $1 million-plus ad buy this winter.
The abortion chain is heavily invested in politics. It plans to spend at least $45 million in 2020 to try to defeat President Donald Trump and pro-life lawmakers, and put power into the hands of pro-abortion politicians who believe it is ok to abort an unborn baby for any reason up to birth.
Announced Thursday, its new $1 million ad campaign seeks to take down U.S. Sens. Martha McSally of Arizona, Cory Gardner of Colorado and Thom Tillis of North Carolina, according to CNN.
The U.S. Senate is a key target because it is only narrowly held by Republicans. If pro-abortion lawmakers win a few more seats, they could block important pro-life legislation, such as the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and prevent Trump from appointing any more conservative judges to the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal courts.
Planned Parenthood made a “seven-figure investment” in the ads, which will be distributed on TV, radio, the internet and in the mail, the report states.
The pro-abortion ads criticize the senators for supporting a new Trump administration rule for Title X funds, which provide family planning services to low-income individuals. The rule defunded Planned Parenthood of about $60 million in tax dollars.

The TV ads claim McSally, Gardner and Tillis “let the Trump-Pence administration force Planned Parenthood out of Title X.”
Actually, Planned Parenthood refused to participate. It chose to prioritizes abortions over birth control, cancer screenings and other health care services provided through Title X.
The new Title X rule ensures that tax dollars do not indirectly subsidize abortions by prohibiting grant recipients from promoting or providing abortions. To comply with the rule, Planned Parenthood could have stopped doing abortions or completely separated its abortion business from its actual health services. It refused to do either.
Planned Parenthood’s new ads spin the situation by claiming the senators refused to “protect affordable health care.” According to CNN, the abortion chain hopes the ads will “reach and mobilize key communities, such as Black women in North Carolina and the Latinx community in Arizona, that have been hit the hardest by the Trump administration’s attacks on sexual and reproductive health care programs, including Title X.”
A billion-dollar abortion provider, Planned Parenthood still receives hundreds of millions of tax dollars from Americans every year. Its abortion numbers surpassed 332,000 last year, according to its most recent annual report; and its former CEO recently admitted that abortions are its “core mission.”
Meanwhile, its political arm is lobbying for laws to allow unrestricted abortions up to birth, to end basic health and safety regulations for abortion facilities, to repeal informed consent requirements and to allow underage girls to get abortions without their parents’ knowledge or consent. America has some of the most permissive abortion laws in the world, and the abortion industry is fighting hard and spending huge amounts of money to try to keep it that way.
