Nancy Pelosi Claims She’s Catholic, Tucker Carlson Says She’s From “The Church of Partial-Birth Abortion”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got called out on her hypocrisy this week.

Though the Democrat leader claims to be Catholic and frequently brings up her faith during political speeches, she supports the killing of unborn babies for any reason up to birth – and sometimes after birth, too.

On Wednesday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson pointed out Pelosi’s hypocrisy by slamming her for following “the church of partial-birth abortion,” the Daily Caller reports.

Carlson showed a clip of Pelosi’s statement about the impeachment hearings in which she invoked her Catholic faith.

“So I am very prayerful, thoughtful and actually sad today that our country has to come to a place where the president doesn’t understand that Article Two doesn’t say he can do whatever he wants,” Pelosi said.

Speaking with Ohio Republican Congressman Brad Wenstrup, Carlson sarcastically responded: “A person of deep faith. Member of the church of partial birth abortion, praying deeply. What do you make of that, her repeated professions of faith?”

Wenstrup called Pelosi’s professions of faith a “charade.”

“I think about that when she says a lot of things. That she always go back to this. She is giddy about this. She wanted this to happen. She called for this impeachment inquiry before we had the complaint,” Wenstrup said.

“That’s politics,” Carlson replied. “Why discredit Christianity along the way?”

“Well, I find her to be very hypocritical,” Wenstrup said. “I am a Catholic. She claims to be a Catholic. I see her on Ash Wednesday with the ashes and I’m thinking — and then you want to kill babies in the womb.”

Despite claiming to be Catholic, Pelosi is a long-time supporter of the abortion industry. She has a 100-percent pro-abortion voting record, and maintains close ties with the largest abortion group in America, Planned Parenthood. Once, she even went so far as to call late-term abortions “sacred ground.”

Despite claiming to be pro-choice, she criticized pro-life pregnancy centers in 2018 for providing information and support to low-income mothers and babies.

Under her leadership this year, House Democrats have blocked attempts to protect newborns from infanticide more than 80 times this year. As Speaker of the House, she also attempted to dismantle the pro-life policies of the Trump administration and restore funding cuts to Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses.

The Catholic Church teaches that abortion is a grave moral evil. Catholics believe that every human life is valuable because it is created in the image of God.
