New Pro-Abortion Campaign Calls Killing Babies an “Act of Love and Compassion”

Anything to disguise the true nature of abortion.

The National Women’s Law Center launched a new PR campaign this month claiming that abortions “actually” are an act of love and compassion. The “Abortion Actually” campaign uses flowery images and virtuous language to hide the ugliness, the violence of killing a baby in the womb.

The campaign goal is to “fight back against the assault on abortion rights in our country” by reframing the conversation about abortion, according to Christian Headlines.

“Abortion – and the people who have them – have been called a lot of things. But what is abortion actually? An act of love. An act of compassion. An act of healing. An act of selflessness,” the pro-abortion group’s website states.

“At its core,” the act of killing of an unborn baby is “an act of love, compassion, healing and selflessness,” the campaign claims. “It’s health care. It’s freedom.”

But it’s not. And many women who have had abortions will agree. All the empty rhetoric in the world cannot hide the scientific fact that an abortion kills a human being. No amount of campaigning or money spent will ever be able to cover up the horrific injustice, the violence, the act that destroys a baby by pulling them limb from limb in pieces out of their mother’s womb while their heart is still beating.

This is what abortion actually is, and pro-life advocates will never stop fighting to defend the lives of the innocent unborn or the rights of mothers to know the truth.

The Bible has a clear admonition about love that has nothing to do with aborting babies.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails.
