Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is Helping Pro-Abortion Democrat Pete Buttigieg

While ABC, CBS, and NBC were continuing to push for President Trump’s impeachment during their Monday newscasts, they didn’t care to mention that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg aided the presidential campaign of South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg by recommending some people toe hire. A simple thing that the liberal media would likely treat as an administration rocking scandal if it involved the Trump campaign.

According to a Bloomberg report out early Monday morning, Buttigieg campaign manager Chris Meagher confirmed: “Zuckerberg sent multiple emails to Mike Schmuhl, Buttigieg’s campaign manager, with names of individuals that he might consider hiring…” Adding: “Priscilla Chan, Zuckerberg’s wife, also sent multiple emails to Schmuhl with staff recommendations. Ultimately, two of the people recommended were hired.”

The report also showed that Buttigieg was friends with Zuckerberg’s roommates while they were both at Harvard University. That’s not to mention Buttigieg’s favorable attitude towards Silicon Valley and their support for him:

Buttigieg, meanwhile, has become somewhat of a darling of Silicon Valley Democrats, repeatedly returning to San Francisco for high-dollar fundraisers.

He’s been more apprehensive about breaking up big tech companies than some of his Democratic counterparts, saying the issue of monopolies extends beyond tech. But he’s also raised concerns about tech companies having too much power and has floated regulation, including fines and the blocking of new mergers, for Facebook and other big tech companies.

But it wasn’t as if the networks completely ignored Facebook on Monday. During both their morning and evening newscasts, NBC News shared the exclusive interview NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt conducted with Zuckerberg.

As NewsBusters senior news analyst Kyle Drennen reported, Holt’s largest concern was that Facebook was going to allow Trump to use the social media platform to “lie, lie, lie”:

The move to call out foreign actors comes as Facebook is embroiled in controversy over political ads at home, criticized for refusing to pull a Donald Trump ad that contained false claims about Joe Biden. Zuckerberg saying it’s not their role to fact-check candidate claims.

“Do you feel like you’re giving a green light to politicians that lie, lie, lie,” Holt added.

Clearly, the liberal media currently view the world through Trump-focused lenses that filter out most of the serious, questionable, and accountability demanding actions of politicians that don’t involve the President. If it was the Trump campaign, they would probably try to raise campaign finance questions and see if it could be considered an impeachable offense, or perhaps try to smear Facebook as Trump supporters since the media takes offense to that.
