Cory Booker Calls Killing Babies in Abortions a “Sacrosanct” Right and “Fundamental Ideal”

Democrat presidential candidate Cory Booker said he would create a department of abortion in the White House to protect the “sacrosanct” right to abort unborn babies.

Extreme pro-abortion politics were on display Tuesday during the Democratic presidential debate in Westerville, Ohio. All of the front-runners support abortions for basically any reason up to birth and want taxpayers to fund them.

Booker, a pro-abortion Democrat from New Jersey, said he would go even further by creating an abortion advocacy department in the White House.

“One of the most fundamental ideals is that human beings should control their own body,” Booker said Tuesday night, denying the scientific fact that unborn babies also are unique, living human beings.

“So the way, as president of the United States, I’m going to deal with this is, first of all, elevating it like we have with other national crises to a White House-level position,” he continued. “I will create the office of reproductive freedom and reproductive rights in the White House and make sure that we begin to fight back on a systematic attempt that’s gone on for decades to undermine Roe v. Wade. I will fight to codify it.”

At another point, Booker also described the killing of unborn babies as “one of the most sacrosanct ideals in this country” and “the most fundamental ideal,” according to The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles.

Knowles responded: “[Thomas] Jefferson’s immortal words: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, unless their parents don’t want them.’”

Democrats claim to fight for the vulnerable, the downtrodden of society, but the leaders of the party are embracing such radical pro-abortion politics that they completely ignore the plight of babies in the womb. They even are rejecting the old Democratic talking point that abortion should be safe, legal and rare, and now are openly calling for more abortions.

Their extremes do not end there. Earlier this year, Booker and other top-polling presidential candidates, including Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris, voted against a bill to protect viable newborns who survive abortions from infanticide.

Polls consistently show that most Americans oppose late-term abortions and want protections for newborn abortion survivors. Americans oppose taxpayer-funded abortions, too. Democrats like Booker are aligning themselves with the radical agenda of the billion-dollar abortion industry, not the American people.
