Former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards is selling herself as a heroine to 12- and 13-year-old girls in her new book.
She recently published a youth version of her memoir, “Make Trouble,” targeting girls in sixth grade and up, the Washington Examiner reports.
“Something we didn’t do was shy away from tough topics, like reproductive rights, privilege, racism, or the heartbreak of losing elections,” Richards told the School Library Journal, a magazine “for school librarians, media specialists, and public librarians who work with young people.”
Richards made millions of dollars running the largest abortion chain in America. Under her leadership, Planned Parenthood aborted millions of unborn babies. It also was accused of selling aborted baby body parts, botching abortions so badly that women died along with their unborn babies, discriminating against pregnant workers, covering up child sexual abuse, Medicaid fraud and countless other scandals.
Of course, none of that is in her book.
Richards resigned from Planned Parenthood last year, but she has not given up her abortion advocacy. She said she worked closely with her former employer on her new book.

“We got help from the experts at Planned Parenthood on how to talk about the reproductive system and sex education,” she said.

As if to quell their fears, Richards added, “I feel strongly that young readers are smart enough to take on hard, complicated issues and make up their own minds about what they believe.” But when it comes to abortion, Planned Parenthood would like to make up their own minds for them.
When asked how she would respond to librarians who would pull her new book from school shelves, Richards stressed that she wouldn’t back down: “I believe in giving young readers a chance to make up their own minds about what they think. This book isn’t just about being president of Planned Parenthood or campaigning for Hillary Clinton in 2016, even though I talk about those things.”
Richards is right that young people should be able to make up their own minds about certain issues, but they also deserve to know that there are people who will misinform and even lie to sway them a certain way. As CEO of Planned Parenthood, Richards lied about providing mammograms, she lied about providing prenatal care — all to defend its billion-dollar business of killing babies in the womb.
Richards may not make her radical abortion agenda immediately clear to her young readers, but it is no secret to the millions of Americans who know the truth about Planned Parenthood.
