Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers boldly slammed Planned Parenthood on Saturday for using its sex education programs to groom impressionable young people for money-making abortions.

The pro-life Republican leader spoke at an event in Gilbert, Arizona, hosted by the conservative group Patriot Movement AZ. According to 3TV/CBS 5, Bowers’ remarks quickly stirred up controversy, but he is standing by them.

“They have created a business plan of hell, that we can sexualize millions of children who will investigate and ‘play’ together,” Bowers said of the Planned Parenthood abortion chain.

Planned Parenthood is a billion-dollar “nonprofit” that aborts more unborn babies than any other group in America. It also brags about being the leading provider of sex education in the U.S.

Former abortion workers have seconded what Bowers said about the abortion industry using sex education programs to promote risky sexual behavior and sell abortions.

Here’s more from the local news:

Bowers, a Republican from Mesa, rejects efforts to revise the state’s sex education standards because he believes it will lead to more sexually transmitted diseases and abortions, which he believes will increase Planned Parenthood’s revenue. …

“That we can sexualize millions of children who will investigate and play together and what would be the results? Sexually transmitted diseases, which we treat for money. Abortion, which we do for money,” Bowers said during the event.

Later, after local news outlets covered his remarks, Bowers issued a statement, saying, “I stand by my opinions of Planned Parenthood …, but I certainly hope they will prove me wrong.”

A local Planned Parenthood spokesperson dismissed the speaker’s comments as a “conspiracy theory.”

“Where we’re tired of the Planned Parenthood name and the people who support us being continually attacked without any basis,” the spokesperson said.

But Bowers’ comments do have a basis in Planned Parenthood’s growing revenue and abortion numbers, as well as the testimonies of former workers themselves.

Monica Cline, a former Title X sex education instructor who worked closely with Planned Parenthood, said she believes the abortion chain “grooms” children for sexual promiscuity and abortions.

“The sex education grooms them for promiscuity, grooms them for STD treatment, and grooms them for abortion,” she said.

Among its worst teaching points, Planned Parenthood tells children that promiscuity is ok. “There’s nothing bad or unhealthy about having a big number of sexual partners,” it tells students on its Tumbler page. Planned Parenthood’s booklet for HIV-positive youth, “Healthy, Happy and Hot,” also tells young people that it is their “human right” to not tell their partner that they have HIV.

Numerous communities have rejected Planned Parenthood as a sex education teacher. The whole Massachusetts legislature rejected a bill in 2017 that recommended Planned Parenthood’s middle school sex education curriculum. The program teaches children as young as 12 “how to perform oral and anal sex.”

Concerned parents in Pennsylvania, Michigan, California, Washington state, New York, North Carolina, Florida and other parts of the country also have protested Planned Parenthood’s involvement in their students’ education in the past several years.

In one recent case, parents at a Pennsylvania school said a Planned Parenthood partner group taught seventh-grade students graphic details about oral sex during a science class.

In another case reported by CBS News, North Carolina parents petitioned for Planned Parenthood to stop teaching their middle school students. They said Planned Parenthood’s “Get Real” curriculum “encourages sixth graders to feel ‘comfortable and ready’ for sex. The petition says the curriculum provides flash cards outlining proper condom usage, for ‘vaginal, oral or anal sex’ and recommends the usage of ‘non-microwavable saran wrap’ as a prophylactic for certain non-reproductive sex acts.”

Planned Parenthood is targeting very young children as well. In February, Planned Parenthood and several partner groups launched a new YouTube channel called Amaze jr. with sex education videos for children as young as 4.
