A leading national pro-life organization has endorsed Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin for re-election. Bevin is a pro-life champion who has signed pro-life legislation to save babies from abortion and whose administration has fought diligently to close down a Planned Parenthood abortion center that has been violating a state law designed to protect women, which would close the last abortion facility in the state.
The Susan B. Anthony List Action PAC informed LifeNews it is endorsing Bevin and yesterday launched a statewide blitz on his behalf via a series of press conferences. Bevin, who faces abortion extremist Attorney General Andy Beshear in November, has been a pro-life champion, the group’s vice-president said.
SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs, former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave and Sue Liebel, Director of SBA List’s National Pro-life Women’s Caucus will spearhead the press events where they will be joined by members of the SBA List Action PAC field team and local pro-life leaders.
“Governor Matt Bevin has been a courageous pro-life leader throughout his time in office and our team aims to visit more than 200,000 voters across Kentucky before Election Day,” said the Honorable Marilyn Musgrave, former Congresswoman and SBA List Vice President of Government Affairs. “Andy Beshear is an extremist backed by the radical abortion lobby. Beshear turned his back on life and his job when he refused to defend popular pro-life legislation such as the Kentucky Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. He was rewarded with political fundraisers featuring local abortionists.
She told LifeNews: “Governor Bevin, by contrast, championed this pro-life law and others, ensuring that Kentucky women and children are protected from late-term abortion. SBA List Action PAC will work through Election Day to expose Beshear’s extremism and re-elect Governor Matt Bevin, a heroic pro-life leader who stands with the people of Kentucky.”

Beshear has a pro-abortion record and recently participated in a fundraiser with a Kentucky abortionist. In 2017, he refused to defend a Kentucky law that protects unborn babies from abortions after 20 weeks.
Then, this summer, he accepted campaign money from Kentucky abortionist Ernest Marshall and his wife, WKYT reports.
Marshall runs the only abortion clinic in Kentucky, EMW Women’s Center in Louisville. He used to run a second abortion facility in Lexington, but Bevin’s administration shut it down in 2016 for health violations.
Bevin criticized Beshear for accepting “blood money” from the abortions of unborn babies in their state.
“Andy Beshear’s extreme stance on abortion is grossly out of line with the values of Kentuckians, and now he is proudly accepting blood money, earned from the murder of innocent, unborn children, to fund his floundering campaign,” Bevin said, LEX 18 reports.
Beshear’s campaign lashed back at the governor, accusing him of being “unhinged and erratic.”
In contrast, Bevin has a strong record of protecting unborn babies and mothers from abortion. He has cracked down on abortion clinics, ensuring that they meet basic health and safety regulations and making them stop abortions if they fail. In 2016, his administration took legal action against Planned Parenthood after its new Lexington facility began aborting unborn babies without a license. That facility still is prohibited from aborting unborn babies.
As governor, Bevin has signed multiple pro-life laws, including measures to ban abortions after an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, protect unborn babies with Down syndrome from discrimination and protect unborn babies from brutal dismemberment abortions.
