Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is the latest Democrat presidential candidate to drop out of the race for his party’s nomination. He struggled with fundraising and low polling numbers and didn’t stand out as all of the Democrat presidential candidates support abortions up to birth.

Inslee announced Wednesday night that he is ending his bid for the 2020 Democratic nomination.

Inslee was a huge proponent of radical environmentalism and he said he hoped another candidate would champion that cause.

“I believe we’re going to have a candidate to fight this battle,” he said on MSNBC. “I’m inspired by the people I’ve met across the country. I’m not going to carry the ball but we’re going to make sure somebody is.”

“I know you agree that our mission to defeat climate change must continue to be central to our national discussion — and must be the top priority for our next president. But I’ve concluded that my role in that effort will not be as a candidate to be our next president,” he added on Twitter.

According to Fox News, Inslee will run for a third gubernatorial term.

“Two people close to Inslee told The Associated Press that Inslee planned to announce in an email to supporters Thursday that he would be seeking a third term as governor. The two spoke on condition of anonymity because they were no authorized to discuss the announcement publicly,” Fox News reported.

Last year, Inslee signed a bill into law incentivizing more women to abort their unborn babies by requiring that health insurance plans cover abortion on demand.

Inslee signed a bill to force health insurance plans to cover abortions if they also cover maternity care. The bill also would set up a program to pay for abortions for women without insurance and those on Medicaid, with state taxpayer funds.

The bill had the support of abortion groups such as Planned Parenthood and NARAL.

Inslee also refused to investigate the Planned Parenthood abortion business, which was caught selling the body parts of aborted babies.

And last year, Inslee visited a Planned Parenthood on Monday to announce his support of the abortion chain and its taxpayer funding. Afterward, Inslee called a Trump administration effort to defund abortion groups of tax dollars “barbarous” and promised to fight it.
