Nancy Pelosi Wants You To Support Planned Parenthood So There Can Be Fewer Abortions

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke on health care at East Los Angeles College on Monday and made sure to take the opportunity to promote abortion provider Planned Parenthood while attacking Republicans.

Claiming she didn’t want to be a “fear-monger,” the Democratic leader proceeded to be just that as she called conservative bans on abortion — or as Pelosi states, a “women’s right to choose” — “scary” and “really dangerous.”

“It’s a funny thing because they don’t believe in governance,” Pelosi said. “They don’t want clean air, clean water, food safety, all those things that governments do. They don’t want this, they don’t want that… but they — big government, when it comes to a women’s right to choose.”

“We have a fight on our hands,” she added.

Pelosi told the crowd her first 25 years in Congress were spent banging her head “against a brick wall,” trying to convince people Republicans don’t support “family planning.” But by “family planning” it appears she’s not speaking of truly planning a family, but rather, twisting words to make the case for abortion on demand.

“Nobody would believe that,” she stated. “Until just a few years ago they decided they were going, when they had the majority, they would take away all the funding for Planned Parenthood. They don’t believe in family planning.”

“So it’s not just about terminating a pregnancy, it’s about preventing money going to people — If you don’t like terminating a pregnancy you should love family planning right?” she said. “But they do not support that.”

Basically, Pelosi is saying, ‘if you don’t want to terminate a pregnancy, you should love terminating a pregnancy,’ because that’s exactly what she means by “family planning.” It’s the same kind of planning that is pushed by Planned Parenthood, which gladly, performs over 300,000 abortions every year.
