Teen Vogue published another article this week promoting abortions to young, impressionable girls.

The Blaze reports the magazine ran a guide instructing young girls on how to get an abortion without their parent’s knowledge or consent.

“Having access to abortion should be your right, regardless of your parents’ beliefs,” Nona Willis Aronowitz wrote for the magazine.

She responded to a 16-year-old teenager who wrote to the magazine asking about how to get an abortion.

“I’m 16, I’m pregnant, and I don’t want to be. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to get an abortion without my parents’ permission, but I’m really scared to tel them because they are both against abortion. What should I do?” the teen wrote.

Aronowitz told the teen that she has nothing to be ashamed of. When she was 15 years old, she also had a pregnancy scare.

“I obsessed over a potential unplanned pregnancy to my best friend over the phone,” she wrote. “I knew for sure I didn’t want a baby, and I was raised with very little shame around sex.”

She said her mother bought her the morning after pill “without judging or admonishing” her.

Then, she explained how any teen can abort her unborn baby without telling her parents. Most states have laws in place that require girls under 18 to notify or receive permission from a parent before having an abortion. However, most of these laws also include an alternative called a judicial bypass.

“There is a legal option in 36 states that would let you get an abortion without parental approval called a judicial bypass procedure — an infantilizing holdup to which nobody should have to resort,” Aronowitz wrote.

“And it’s only logical that if teens are mature enough to become parents, they are mature enough to decide whether or not they want to give birth,” she continued.

The intention of the judicial bypass is to allow exceptions for cases involving abuse within the family, but abortion activists exploit the loophole to allow any young girl to get a secret abortion.

Aronowitz said teenagers may not want to tell their parents, but she encouraged them to find someone to tell about the abortion.

“Seeking out an empathetic authority figure will make you feel less alone and help you process your emotions, because everybody loves someone who’s had an abortion. Including you,” she said.

Teen Vogue has mislead its young subscribers on abortion for years, and this latest article is no exception. It is giving irresponsible, biased advice to teens by telling them to hide a life-destroying, irreversible and risky abortion procedure from their family.

Parental consent laws do help minors, and they have strong public support. They can help protect young girls from sexual abusers who often use abortion to cover up their crimes. The laws also help protect vulnerable teens from making a hasty, uninformed decision to abort their unborn babies – something they may later regret. Research shows that these laws help save unborn babies from abortions.

Parental involvement laws have strong public support, and 37 states currently require it in some form before a minor aborts her unborn baby. A Gallup poll found 71 percent of Americans favor laws requiring parents’ involvement in a minor’s abortion decision.
