Some of America’s most beloved actors and actresses are angering fans by coming out in support of abortion on demand.

Reese Witherspoon (“Big Little Lies,” “Legally Blonde”) recently posted a series of tweets blasting the new pro-life laws in Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri and Mississippi, the Daily Wire reports.

She described abortion as a “fundamental right” and promised to fight against laws that protect unborn babies from violent abortion deaths.

“Women of Alabama, I will fight for you. Women of Georgia, I will fight for you. Women of Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri and Mississippi, I will fight for you” to have abortions, Witherspoon wrote May 17 on Twitter.

With the exception of Alabama, these states all recently passed heartbeat laws that ban abortions after an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy. Alabama passed a law that prohibits abortions in all circumstances. However, all of these laws are being challenged in court.

Witherspoon promised to donate to abortion advocacy groups that are fighting against the laws, and encouraged others to do the same.

Two days earlier, she posted a similar tweet describing the pro-life laws as “unconstitutional and abhorrent.”

“We can not tolerate this attack on women’s fundamental rights,” the actress wrote.

Others who have come out in support of abortion include actress Anne Hathaway (“Princess Diaries,” “Les Miserables”), “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill, actor/director Ron Howard (“The Andy Griffith Show”) and comedian/actor Ben Stiller.

But many fans are not happy, and there are growing calls to boycott the celebrities, Netflix, Disney and other companies that are pushing to keep the killing of unborn babies legal across the U.S.
