Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris banked on fears that “women’s lives are at risk” to raise money for the billion-dollar abortion industry this week.

Breitbart reports the California senator’s campaign bragged of raising more than $160,000 for pro-abortion groups in response to the new pro-life laws in Alabama and Georgia.

“Incredibly proud that together we were able to raise over $161K yesterday for women’s rights groups who are on the front lines of the fight to defend women’s health care & access to abortion,” Harris wrote on Twitter.

The Huffington Post reports Harris lashed out against Alabama in a series of fundraising emails and social media posts. Gov. Kay Ivey signed a law this week that protects unborn babies by banning abortions in Alabama.

“Outlawing access to abortion ― including in cases of rape or incest. Threatening to punish doctors who provide abortion care with up to 99 years of jail time. This isn’t a scene from The Handmaid’s Tale. This is happening in Alabama ― in our country ― in the year 2019,” the fundraising email reads.

Harris urged people to donate money through her campaign to four abortion advocacy groups: the Yellowhammer Fund, the Clinic Vest Project, ARC Southeast and the National Network of Abortion Funds.

Alabama’s pro-life law “is a direct attack on women across our country,” Harris wrote. “Restricting access to safe, legal abortion puts women’s lives at risk.”

Harris is the former California prosecutor who went after the Center for Medical Progress for exposing Planned Parenthood’s potentially illegal sales of aborted baby body parts. She currently is a U.S. Senator, and has a 100-percent pro-abortion voting record. Harris also has close ties to Planned Parenthood; former CEO Cecile Richards’ daughter works for her.

Recently, she voted against a bill to protect newborn babies from infanticide. Every single Democrat in the Senate who is running for president voted against the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would require medical workers to provide basic treatment for babies who are born alive after botched abortions. That includes Harris, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand and Amy Klobuchar.

Harris is being praised for raising so much in so little time and “putting her money where her mouth is,” but pro-life advocates with little influence or national media attention raised a similar amount to support mothers and babies in Pennsylvania in a similar amount of time.

The Garecht family, whose young teenage daughters were bullied by state Rep. Brian Sims, raised nearly $130,000 for a pro-life nonprofit in Philadelphia in the wake of the scandal. The fundraiser speaks to the grassroots power of the pro-life movement and their desire to truly help mothers and children in need.
