Sometime last night or early this morning, our Wayne County Educational Resource Center in Wyandotte was vandalized with messages stating “hands off.”

There appears to be no property damage other than the spray paint, and the items left out for the annual yard sale beginning today were not damaged. A report has been filed with the Wyandotte Police Department. The annual yard sale this weekend will proceed as planned.

This week the Michigan House and Senate passed our ban on dismemberment abortions, with one more procedural vote needed to present it to Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Governor Whitmer has promised to veto it, and we’ve announced that we will do a petition drive to collect 400,000 signatures to initiate the legislation to bypass her veto. Michigan’s citizen initiated legislation provision allow the Legislature to pass citizen-initiated legislation into law without the governor’s signature.
