CNN and MSNBC Blacked Out Coverage of Democrats Supporting Infanticide

This week, Democrats blocked a bill in the United States Senate to stop infanticide. But the millions of readers of the CNN web site would never know that happened, because the news outlet blacked out coverage of it.

As LifeNews reported, Senate Democrats blocked a request by Republicans to vote on a bill that would stop infanticide and provide medical care and treatment for babies who are born alive after botched abortions. The vote to stop the Democrat filibuster needed 60 votes but Democrats stopped the chamber from getting enough.

Millions of LifeNews readers knew about the vote and the results of it, but now the Americans reading news at CNN. As writes in the Federalist, CNN censored the news:

CNN doesn’t feature a single story on their website regarding the Democratic Party blocking of Sasse’s Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have saved newborn babies who survive abortion attempts from negligent homicide.

CNN didn’t even bother producing one of those predictably prejudiced pieces, like the ones we saw in Politico or the Washington Post yesterday, mischaracterizing Sasse’s bill as “anti-abortion.” They didn’t bother with the “conservatives pounce!” stories, like the Daily Beast or Vox did. They didn’t bother, like so many others, to distract from the number of viable babies being aborted by stressing only 1.5 percent of the procedures are post-20 weeks’ gestation, rather than pointing out there are somewhere around 15,000 to 18,000 aborted every year. They just ignored it.

CNN features a long string of stories about Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen on the site—surely, legitimate news—but not one about a highly unpopular policy position that is supported by every Democratic Party presidential hopeful in the Senate. This issue that dominated the political discussions of around half the country yesterday was not worth a single piece from this unbiased, undeterred, truth seeking, information-gathering operation. I wonder why that is?

Anyway, I figured I would also check on MSNBC television. As far as I can tell, the network didn’t bother mentioning the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act a single time on TV yesterday. Its website doesn’t feature a single story about the bill or vote. That’s to be expected, I suppose.

Those two liberal media outlets are not alone. ABC, CBS, and NBC blacked out coverage of the vote as well.

Hours after this vote, Sanders appeared in an hour-long “town hall” on CNN without a single question on this. Warren was interviewed by Chris Hayes for 11 minutes on MSNBC, and no question.

These networks offered more air time and sympathy for vicious “ISIS bride” Hoda Muthana trying to re-enter America than they did for defenseless newborn babies. Just as they felt Ralph Northam wearing blackface was far worse than Northam favoring a woman’s “right to choose” infanticide. Blackface drew hours of coverage, and infanticide drew less than five minutes on the Big Three network shows.

This is why it is so important for LifeNews to exist, along with other pro-life-friendly media outlets. Without our collective coverage, Americans would be left in the dark about Democrats and the top Democrats running for president, supporting infanticide.
