Lethal Injections Not Allowed for Murderers in Vermont, But Unborn Babies Will Soon Get Them Up to Birth

The state of Vermont appears to be the next state to follow New York and legalize abortions up to birth. But ironically Vermont does not allow the death penalty and hasn’t executed a murderer in the state in decades.

As LifeNews reported, the Vermont House passed a radical pro-abortion bill Thursday that would keep abortions legal and unrestricted for basically any reason up to birth. The legislation is expected to easily sail through the state Senate and be signed by the governor.

The Vermont bill would recognize abortion as a “fundamental human right” and ensure that the government does not deny, restrict or infringe upon a woman’s “right” to abort her unborn baby.

But Vermont prohibits the death penalty even though it will soon allow abortions of unborn babies up until the day of their birth. That makes it so that while convicted murderers can’t receive a lethal injection, unborn babies will.

Vermont doesn’t have the death penalty. The state last performed an execution in 1954 and is not considered to be a death penalty state. Vermont’s capital punishment statutes were invalidated by Furman v. Georgia, 408 U.S. 238 (1972) and the state wouldn’t give a lethal injection to a murderer even if it wanted to – which it clearly doesn’t.

And what kind of lethal injections do unborn babies get in later abortions? The kind that the Planned Parenthood abortion corporation has used to preserve aborted baby parts to sell:

It turns out that Planned Parenthood shoots unborn babies with through the heart with poison to kill them — preserving their bodies enough to use the body for research down the road. The abortion giant does this by altering the now-banned partial-birth abortion technique.

After the Supreme Court upheld the national ban on partial-birth abortions, Planned Parenthood was so desperate to continue doing legal second-trimester abortions that they were willing to put women’s health at risk by misusing a drug for heart conditions to do the abortions.

The partial-birth abortion ban made it clear that abortion practitioners can’t mostly deliver an unborn child before doing the abortion and killing her. To get around the ban, they are using the drug digoxin to kill the baby inside the mother’s womb and then cause the mother to miscarry the dead baby’s body.

Digoxin is widely used in the treatment of various heart conditions such as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter and congestive heart failure. But abortion practitioners admitted years ago in various interviews that they are misusing the drug in off-label use to do the second-trimester abortions.

The drug is administered with a long needle inserted into the abdomen and it has normal side effects such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. However, the drug can also cause premature delivery and there is a risk of infection.

Not only do Planned Parenthood abortion clinics use digoxin, other abortion clinics use the same process.

And soon in Vermont it will be perfectly legal to give babies those lethal injections.
