Pro-abortion Senator Cory Booker announced today that he is running for president against President Donald Trump. While Trump has governed as a pro-life president, Booker is strongly pro-abortion and has a 100% pro-abortion voting record.
Booker announced Friday that is he is officially launching a campaign to run for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020.
“I’m Cory Booker and I’m running for president of the United States of America,” Booker said in a video he released Friday. He chose to announce his bid for president on the first day of Black History Month, and made several references to the struggles of black and minority Americans.
“The history of our nation is defined by collective action; by interwoven destinies of slaves and abolitionists; of those born here and those who chose America as home; of those who took up arms to defend our country, and those who linked arms to challenge and change it,” Booker said.
According to the National Right to Life Committee, Booker has voted on abortion 14 times during the course of his Senate career and has voted pro-abortion every time. That includes votes to support killing babies in late-term abortions, voting to force taxpayers to fund abortions, and voting to force taxpayers to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business.
Booker has also voted against each of President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominees – Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
He voted against Kavanaugh even though an FBI probe exonerated him of false sexual abuse allegation made against him.

Booker questioned Kavanaugh’s “temperament” and that fact that he used “language that frankly shocked a lot of us” before making the remark, then justifying it by stating that this “is not a trial.”
“And then ultimately, not whether he is ‘innocent or guilty’ – this is not a trial – but ultimately, have enough questions been raised that we should not move on to another candidate,” said Booker.
During his Senate campaign, in a private “endorsement memo” to America’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood — leaked via an open Google group — Booker said: “I oppose the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act and the Supreme Court’s dramatic break from precedent in upholding it.”
Booker received coaching from NARAL Pro-Choice America on how to best answer their questionnaire item on taxpayer funding of abortion. NRO’s Eliana Johnson outlined how NARAL advised the Booker campaign that his original answer to their questionnaire did not demonstrate sufficient support for forcing taxpayers to pay for abortion.
