Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is not happy over being called out for supporting infanticide.
Northam not only defended a bill in the state legislature that would legalize abortions up to birth – even if the mother is dilated — he defended infanticide during a radio show. Northam apparently thinks it’s okay to kill a baby once the infant is fully delivered.
“If a mother is in labor…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and mother,” he said.
Later Northam doubled down on his support for infanticide via a spokesman, who essentially said the governor was only talking about infanticide in cases of disabled babies.
Northam was excoriated for the remarks, which went viral on social media. Late Wednesday, he unsuccessfully attempted to diffuse the criticism. In response he got more than 21,000 comments pushing back and reminding him he supported infanticide.
I have devoted my life to caring for children and any insinuation otherwise is shameful and disgusting.

We’re not insinuating anything.
You said you support withholding care and allowing babies to die after a failed third-trimester abortion.
You are a disgrace to your office and the medical community and should have your medical license taken away. https://t.co/cUsZe7dj8h
