President of Mexico Announces New Health Care Plan for Poor People: Euthanasia

The newly inaugurated Mexican president is very left-wing. And, he wants euthanasia legalized. From the PVDN story:

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced a $5.7-billion, two-year plan Friday to revamp the country’s health care system for the poor. He also said the country should consider a program for euthanasia, or voluntary assisted dying, which is currently not allowed.

“These are very important questions we have to resolve among all of us.”

Here’s a thought. Don’t even think about letting doctors kill patients until all Mexicans have access to good medical care. That project will take years and could be impeded materially by the legal availability of euthanasia — which after all, is much less expensive than, you know, actually caring for people medically.
