Pro-abortion politicians Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are the two people American Democrats would like most to see run against President Donald Trump in 2020.

A Politico/Morning Consult poll this week found that 26 percent of Democratic voters said they would support Biden for president, while 19 percent named Sanders as their choice.

Similarly, a TargetPoint Consulting poll this week found Biden and Sanders are voters’ top choices. Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton came in third with the support of just 8 percent of voters polled, according to the Washington Free Beacon. Recent reports suggest Clinton does want to run again.

Others named in the polls included failed Texas senate candidate Beto O’Rourke, Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, as well as Michael Bloomberg. All of the candidates are pro-abortion.

Sanders supported abortion on demand and the abortion giant Planned Parenthood when he campaigned against Clinton in 2015. He said he did not support any limits on abortion, and his “Medicare for all” plan would have forced Americans to pay for abortions.

Biden’s history is a little more complicated. Many years ago, Biden did vote for some pro-life legislation as a U.S. senator; but when his party grew more pro-abortion, so did he. As the vice president to Barack Obama, he supported the administration’s pro-abortion policies, including Obamacare, which forced religious employers to pay for contraception that may cause abortions.

The Democratic Party and its leaders support laws and policies allowing abortions for any reason up to birth, as well as taxpayer-funded abortions. Pro-life Democrats are being told they are not welcome in the party anymore. And last year, Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez even called the killing of unborn babies a “fundamental value” of his party and said “every Democrat” should support it.

So it should not surprise voters when the party backs a candidate in 2020 who supports the same radical pro-abortion agenda.
