Left-wing media outlets are boosting up pro-abortion Sen. Kamala Harris for a possible presidential run in 2020.

This week, Harris received Glamour Magazine’s “advocate woman of the year” award – an honor focused around her radical abortion advocacy.

LifeZette reports the magazine published a “gushing” piece that praises the California senator, beginning with the headline “Kamala Harris is the Politician America Needs Right Now.” The magazine later changed the headline online, though it isn’t clear why. An archived page from Oct. 31 still shows the original headline. The new headline says “Harris Is on the Rise.”

Harris, currently in her first term as a senator, is well-known to pro-life advocates as the California prosecutor who raided undercover journalist David Daleiden’s home after he exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts trade.

Her pro-abortion actions and close work with Planned Parenthood have continued in the U.S. Senate. Glamour praised her for attacking Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings over his views on abortion and contraception.

Conveniently, the magazine did not mention how multiple fact checkers slammed Harris for misleading the public about Kavanaugh. She tried to label Kavanaugh as an extremist by claiming that he called contraception “abortion-inducing drugs,” but her accusation was completely false. Even the Washington Post, a liberal news outlet that supports abortion, went so far as to tell her to “drop the whopper of a talking point.”

Ironically, in her interview with Glamour, Harris talked about “truth.”

“Leaders need to do is speak truth, even if it’s an uncomfortable truth,” she said. “I think it is really important that we are fighting for the best of who we are as a country, and I do believe we are better than this.”

Harris also praised her mother for encouraging her to be a leader.

“My mother always told me, ‘You may be the first to do many things. Make sure you’re not the last,’” she said.

Two years ago, Harris worked as the attorney general of California. There, she maintained close ties with the largest abortion chain in America. Planned Parenthood aborts about 320,000 unborn babies every year.

In 2016, Harris’s office raided the home of David Daleiden from the Center for Medical Progress in what appeared to be a politically motivated move. Her office took camera equipment and copies of unreleased videos of people who work in the abortion industry.

Daleiden, the head of the Center for Medical Progress, has been a target of abortion activists and their political friends ever since he released undercover videos showing top Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of aborted babies’ body parts.

Emails later suggested that Harris teamed up with Planned Parenthood to target Daleiden. At the time, pro-life groups called for her resignation, pointing to conflicts of interest including $81,000 in donations from Planned Parenthood to Harris’s election campaigns.

LifeZette reports more about Harris’s potentially unethical practices:

Earlier this week, a watchdog group called Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed a Senate ethics complaint against Sen. Harris, The Washington Times reported.

The complaint alleges that Harris, a member of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, sent out fundraising emails to support a vote against Kavanaugh prior to her issuing that vote.

The group contends the act crossed the line into vote-buying.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) was also named in the complaint.

Harris’s spokeswoman Lily Adams also happens to be former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards’ daughter.
